Can anyone tell me if pilots learning to fly large commercial aircraft do stall training in that plane, or since I imagine the recovery would be the same as in a small plane they might not have to? Thanks in advance.

Stall recovery training is usually done only in the simulator. If the simulator requires that the pilots complete their type rating in the actual aircraft, then approach to stalls are demonstrated.
