Thank you SEAGULL for that response.But what qualify's pilots to be part of the test program?To fly different aircraft types,does one have to be part of mgnt.SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS?,non UNION?Senority lists?Please be more specific if possible!!And thanks again!!

I want to add another question to that:

Can a 727 f/o upgrade to DC-10 Capt, and then transition to 727 capt, or is he stuck in the left seat of the 10 for the rest of his career?
