Victor Still In The Air?

Posted (11 years 7 months 1 week 5 days 12 hours ago) and read 750 times:

When I was in England in May and June 1999, I looked up to the sky and I was quite sure I saw an Handley Page Victor flying over at about 35000 ft.

But in my book "Eagles" of Peter R. March, I read they went out of service in 1993!

Can anybody tell me what I could have seen? Is there still a Victor used for something?

No, they have been out of service for some years now.
