Can anyone please explain what an offset LDA is and how it is used? I know ASE has this approach. Thanks!

To give you a very short basic summary, an LDA is a ILS (or just Localizer) which is not aligned with the runway. The pilot flies it like an ILS (aside from approach specific items) and when the runway is in sight, he turns maneuvers the aircraft so it is aligned with the runway then lands.
