Red Stripe Below Door?

What is the red stripe below the door for???? Came across it in the database and it got me thinking.

I was told that it was to warn ground handlers, specifically catering trucks to watch out. This is because the wing root protrudes out a bit and can get damaged if ground handlers are not careful.

This is indeed a optical reminder for the ground crew, in this case for the catering truck driver......
Depending on the airline you will see these stripes on the other side, too, as the door is very close to the wing root and the platforms of jetways (and some type of gangways) are more than twice as wide as the the door so that there will be not much space for manouvering.
These stripes are also most noticeable at the TU-154 as the second door is even closer to the wing root.
