Today on RW 22L at ORD, I heard: "Justice" Flight
530 cleared for take-off. I could see no markings on the fuselage. What company uses "Justice?

Thanks for any help, and clear skies to all, --JaO

Do they still offer meal service?

"Do they have a frequent flyer program?"

After three terms with them you get lifetime free transport in some states.

Sure would be interesting to see the F/A safety demonstration on these planes. How do you grab the oxygen mask with handcuffs on?

Mjsmigel, the answer to that is simple. They don't get any O2 masks. They let the prisoner die because then they save money.  Wink/being sarcastic

Thanks for all the information. I had actually considered that it might be US Justice Dept. but it seemed too obvious. That was surely the plane I saw. I wonder....how many
727s or other types do they have? As a taxpayer....

They make a number of flights, but it's better than having the states spending time working out the procedures for the handovers, and carriage accross state lines themselves.

According to Bill Harms' current list, they have:

2 727-100
2 727-200
2 DC-9-15
1 DC-9-31
2 MD82

I'm sure they probably have some smaller stuff, i.e. bizjets or turboprops, but I don't have any specifics...

By sheer coincidence, A&E just tonight ran a feature on
"Justice" Flights. I first saw the 727 on the screen and realized immediately what was being featured. Very interesting. Many of the questions dealt with here were talked about. No flight attendants and no safety demos.

For a time last year, they also used MD-87 N948MA. (now with Allegiant) I saw that one come into IAH several times along with the ex-US -82s which continue to visit us once or twice a week.
