Does anyone know where I can find noise data for smaller aircraft? Many airports in my area have noise procedures. Most newer planes include noise data in the POH, but older aircraft, Cessna's in my case, don't have the data and I'm having a hard time finding anything through yahoo.com. Thanks.
Also, the DA20-C1 (Katana)'s POH says that the aircraft's maximum noise level is 75.9 (somewhere around there; I don't have the POH handy). How did they come up with this number? How far away from the plane did they take the measurement? Is it possible for me to make more noise over the noise sensor? There must be a 'standard' way to measure it; can someone explain it? Thanks.

Call the customer service folks at Cessna, they ought to be able to get you the information you need. What airport are you interested in? Most of the ones that I've had anything to do with have "noise offices", you can also contact them. They deal with "noisey" airplanes on a daily basis.
