Hi guys just a quick one really, were busy at the moment (BA) doing repairs on the pylons because they've found cracks at the top of them. I was just wondering if anyone else out there who works on 74's had heard anything about the skull caps or if it was just BA that were putting repairs on the pylons?

I used to work on BA's classics in Avalon, plus other operators 74's, I remember seeing a lot of work done to CF6 and roller pylons but they were similar repairs involving doublers at the top.
Now if your talking -400 pylons, if I remember correctly Rollers have almost the same pylons as the classic but Pratts and GEs have the newer style pylons similar to the 777 ie the outer skin is no longer part of the supporting structure they're just fairings (along the top) hopefully the pics will explain.
