Hi, I have a techinical question about the A330, Excuse my bad directions here but you'll need to visit another site to get what im talking about. Its at World Air Routes, anyways on the Novair DVD, if you view the pictures, I believe its on the left hand side somewhere around half the way down, you'll see a photo showing a pilot pushing a button which seems to be in what you might see as a sight on some video game, well anyway, what is this button? And what is it used for? Thanks!

I assume you refer to the following page of pictures:

http://www.worldairroutes.com/Novair_A330F.html

However, I'm not sure which image you are referring to. Please point it out for us. Thanks.

I think it is the Eng Fan Cowl opening button. When the cowls are unlatched and the button is pressed the fan cowl on that side is electrically driven open.

There is one photo that i think you are refering to where he is closing the door to the plane. I know you like airplane doors...is that the one you are talking about?

It's a black button with a red segmented circle around it??

It's the Thrust Reverser UNLOCK indicator it's basically a little pin that pops out when the reverser is unlocked. The reverser could be fully stowed so look correct from a distance but the pin will show if it's not locked in the stow position and obviously shows when the reversers are deployed.

hope this helps Simon.

You have to undo the locking handle then the latching handle once that's done you can move the hydraulic selector to open (yellow system) also check your email.
