B777 APU Exhaust

Is there any particular reason for the B777 Aircraft APU Exhaust duct to exit from the Left side rather than behind the Aircraft.

The chiseled tail improves airflow and thus fuel efficiency.

The Exhaust duct to on the LH side wont that affect Airflow.Or is it negligible to cause a difference.
