Hello, I am new here.

I was wondering if anyone had the time to help me out with some abbreviations that I am not sure about. I tried a search but didn't come up with anything.

Specifically I need to know what the following means:

TTSN : 4875 Hrs
TCSN : 762 Cy
Config : C30 Y212
MSN 054 IO

The first one has something to do with total time, the second with cycles and the third configuration, but that's all I know. I'd like some clarifications if anyone has the time/inclination.

Thanks in advance!

TTSN - total time since new...
TCSN - total cycles (takeoff and landings) since new...
Configuration - club class 30 seats, economy 212 seats...
MSN - Manufacturer's serial number - 054IO
You were quite right as to what it meant...
Happy contrails -

It seems like you were looking at an add for an aircraft that's for sale. If so, what type of aircraft were you checking out?

If it can hold 212 seats in an economy configuration, it's obviously a type of airliner.

PS, welcome aboard! Big grin It's a great forum. I like your user name. A Piaggio P-180 Avanti flies right over my home almost every day.

Hello Chris!

I am sourcing Airbuses for an airline which I cannot disclose. I'm in the leasing business, not aircraft business so I was a little rusty with the abbreviations...

And although I've been an aviation enthusiast as far back as I can remember (and got my PPL 8 years ago for recreation), and although I admire the Piaggio p180, I chose AVANTI as my nick because its my company name.

So how does that P-180 sound? I've never seen one, let alone heard one fly over!
