I was looking at this photo (view large version) when I noticed something "dangling" under this 747 nose wheel, right at the bottom edge of the photo. It appears to be stuck between the 2 tires. Anyone has an idea as to what this is?

Thanks

This aircraft is on display at a museum. That is the very top of one of the pylons that supports the aircraft.

Hello Radarbeem.

If you click on the 747's high-lighted registration, you'll see all the photos of it that are in the database.

Here's some other photos of the same 747 that will answer your question.

As you can see, the 747 is on display and the object on the nosegear is a type of bracket for the nosegear stand.

look at http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?placesearch=Speyer%20%28ZQC%20%2F%20EDRY%29&distinct_entry=true
to see that they have a concorde, the russian tu-144, a 747, a an-22 and various other planes such as a dassault mercure, really a great place to visit!

edit:
more info can be found here, in french english and german!
