Hey there!

I would like to get some general information on powerbacks. I know it's when an airliner uses the reverse thrust to pull itself out of the gate, but would it create a large wind tunnel or possibly suck up any loose stuff from the ramp? Possibly crates, or carts?

Also, which airliners can do it?

This should provide some general information on 'powerbacks'...

Cheers,

When powerbacking from the gate, the pilots use Minimal reverse thrust. So, generally it is not enough to suck in a cart.
