JAA/FAA License Conversion Stuff

I need some practical information regarding the JAA/FAA licensing.
At this moment I have a JAR PPL with total 250hours + ATPL theory. What I would like to do is go to the USA, do the CPL training and exams there and later convert that to JAA CPL.

Any personal experiences? Is the JAR PPL, converted to FAA PPL valid for CPL training under the FAA rules?

Try doing a google search, also look up the FAA website. I did this to convert my A&P to an ICAO Type 2. Lots of info etc on their site.
