What Engines Did The Constellation Have

Hi does anyone know what engines did the old Connie had I know the super contellation had the Wright 3350 turbo compound but what about the old Contellation I believe it had the same engines without the turbo compound if this true and how many hp they had thanks. I know the turbo compound had 3400Hp but I dont know the otherones thanks.

The Eastern and TWA 1952-era Super Constellations (the 1049s) had 2700 or 2800 hp, which was the maximum for a non-turbocompound R3350.

There where at least two C-121H prototype's built that has Allison 501 engines. After the tests where down the navy cut the wings off them and sold the for scrap. Flying Tigers bought them and two passenger 749's. They then mated the wings off of the 749 with the 121H cabins and they ended up with two heavy floored cargo 749's fairly cheeply.


OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.
