Pre Flight:
1st time I actually woke up the intended time I set myself! Maybe its going to be a day for firsts. Traffic to the airport was good and since I was holding a gold GFF card, I can use the business check in, therefore in no time I was relaxing in the lounge. Busy day at the lounge, managed to eat something, smoke, and then walked to the gate. Looks like a full load to SRG.

Anyone know why this Orient Thai B747 is doing in CGK?
My ride to SRG
In Flight:
Its nice to be in GA’s B735 as it has a much better interior than the other 737’s in its fleet. I was actually feeling okay in Y. As I predicted, it was a day of firsts! The plane left 5 mins early and also landed early! Meals were in the form of those crappy snack boxes which seems the norm for Indonesian carriers!

Usual Morning rush out of CGK
Been a long time since I last been in this location on an a/c (near or behind the wing!)
Pre Flight
After a quick stay in Semarang, it was time to go to the airport. For a small town, its really great to have a 4 star hotel like to new Novotel which I stayed in. Didn’t do much here, except attending the wedding and met some old faces. Airport is nice, old, but cosy. Didn’t bother with the lounge, but check in was a little slow today especially with only 1 person in front of me.

In Flight
We had to walk to the aircraft but it was a really short walk Another full flight back to Jakarta. Nothing much to talk about on this flight except this was one of the better condition B733 in GA’s fleet which I have been on!
Goodbye Semarang

Thanks again for reading, I am sorry if my domestic TR's are more boring than my international one :P

Hello Mr. Kwee,
Why were you flying in Y in the first place? Couldn't get a seat in J? You looked very 'santai' indeed, flew to Semarang in a short pant.
SRG looks like CGK and SUB from afar. Maybe because of the same shape of roof. The airport looks pretty new too and from what I see, a better airport than PNK.
This is probably the trip report with the least wordings you ever wrote.
Flew on QF from Sydney to Melbourne a few years ago. Nicely presented snack box, apparently designed by this famous artist. I opened it ..... it was only a damn biscuit, water and an plastic cup for tea/coffee! And I was pretty hungry as I did not have lunch. Very disappointed.
KLM from UK (BRS and LHR) - AMS, they don't give you a box, they simply hand over a wrapped small bread, and this was an international flight.
At least you got some Roti Bakso (bread filled with beef mince) and some kueh (cake) in a presentable box on a domestic flight.
What kueh is it?
The check-in counters in SRG could do for a refurbishment. Looks dated.

Nice to read some indonesian report again. The domestic terminal remind me the early 90's when I used to live in JKT and where this terminal was used for international flights (I flew CX on 747-300 to HKG via SIN mainly).

It is surely great to read something positive about GA after the spate of bad publicity. Sorry I took so long to reply, I have just spent almost the whole of last week in the Kingdom of Thailand. Hehehehee...
