Today's Ride To BKK
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b375/echster/ride.jpg

There was a long wait prior to departure. Three aircraft departed, 2 aircraft arrived. There were also a few World Air MD-11s on EVA's maintenance ramp. There was no sign of the Dreamlifter.

Great report! I was in BKK not too long ago and you are making me miss it already. Hmm... Transaero 747-200? I wonder who did they lease it from?

Ahh... I used to work in a similar many years ago and you are once again triggering my flashbacks! I was trained as an Approach, Departure Area and Arrival Area controller, although I ultimately ended up as an Aerodrome controller. Yes I used to push tin!

Great report mate!

I envy it because not too long ago i flew BKK-TPE-BKK myself but in TG and their J class was a joke compared to this.BKK-TPE was on a B777-300 which looked almost like economy literally, return leg was the somewhat better but still hopelessly outdated A330-300 (which i had already flown from KHI-BKK and back).NO AVOD to speak off in those J classes.

I tried to get TG/BR connection from KHI to TPE via BKK but that was almost US $1000 more then TG/TG which i eventually took.

Don't know if its true, but I was told that BR's chairman (or some hot shot in the company) is an advocate for vegetarianism or a staunch Buddhist. So, there will always be a Chinese Vegetarian choice for it's FRCL and BCL meals.

Enjoyed the pics, especially of the approach into BKK as I have made that approach on a JAL 777-300ER.
Your last pic looks like you are an air traffic controller. Where at?

Have you kissed a 777 today?

What a great report - were we on the same flight?

I was on BR67 on 5/31 TPE-BKK having arrived into TPE on BR16 that morning (and that I've just posted that TR!)

Except I was in Y and my pics of the ramp in TPE are definitely not as good as yours!!!!

Did you see the Angkor Airlines MD-80 with its left engine removed at TPE?

Look forward to your next report!

Nice report and pix thanks!

Meals looked good and well presented, a far cry from meals we see on AA!

Seat's look quite nice, but offer little privacy, fine for couples though.

Thanks

Mark

Thank you for a nice report  Smile

BR food and extensive internet choices really makes dining on them a seemingly nice experience  Smile

Flew the TG 330/777-300 combo to KUL last fall and I totally agree with you. Especially the seats in C on the 777-300 was abysmal!

Cheers
