I flew from Columbus, Ohio to Los Angeles, California in April of this year(2001) and I flew with America West Airlines. Actually I was supposed to fly with Delta Air Lines out there but our flight with Delta got delayed. Storms were moving around the Columbus area that day and so Delta delayed their flight and so they switched me on to another airline, which was America West Airlines. Actually it worked out for the best because with America West, I got a non-stop flight from CMH to LAX, and with Delta, I would have had to connect in Cincinnati. Really everything about the flight out to LAX airport on America West was awesome because there were only about 10 passengers on the flight, including me. So here we were flying non-stop to Los Angeles on America West on one of their Airbus 320 jets. Everything went smooth, service was great, and it was really comfortable cause there weren't many people on the flight at all. Thus this gave everyone an opportunity to sit where ever they wanted and also you could stretch your legs out over the seats next to you because everyone was sitting by themselves. This was by far the greatest flight I've ever taken and at times during the flight, I felt as though I was laying on my couch in my living room because I was sprawled out on these empty seats. It was truely unbelievable actually!! At times I actually felt really bad for America West because it seemed like a waist of fuel and a waist of the pilots time to just be transporting 10 passengers on a 2,500 mile trip. But hey, next time I fly I won't hesitate whatsoever to choose America West as my carrier. Nothing wrong with our flight out to LA with them, and hey, we got there in 5 hours so I was happy. I suggest America West to everyone if you need to fly somewhere, you'll appreciate them just as much as another airline and if not more.

Glad you had fun! Back in April that flight was never full, but I think it has been discovered as of late. Usually it goes out at least 70% full. The A320's are nice aren't they and i've found the CMH people to be very friendly.

Well thanks to all of you for replying to my topic here. It's a boring trip report, but still it was fun to write about. I can't remember how the people were at CMH, actually it seemed like they were a little more friendly then other places. And believe it or not, the people are nice out in LAX airport too. I was in EWR's airport once, and okay man were they RUDE there!! It's like you're walking along and they just push you and shove you, and not even any apoligies from them. Oh well, it's the New York City and Jersey crowd there I guess, so it's kinda fast paced. But speaking of airports, I think out of all of them, my favorite is Pittsburgh(PIT). Very up-to-date airport and it's just awesome. In PIT, USAirways rules that airport cause they have one of their major hubs there. Really it's a very pleasent airport overall, and it's modern, but not overly modern. And also it's nice and clean, and not overly crowded. Nice airport in Pittsburgh!! Well thanx again to all of you for replying to my trip report here )
