This is my first trip report, and I don't have too much information. This is because I wasn't planning on making a TR out of this trip, especially because my camera screen broke about 2 or 3 weeks before the trip. I did take some pictures with my cell phone, but there's not a lot. This is my second time using Frontier, my first being a trip to Los Angeles back in mid-April. I love Frontier and have never had any problems with them, but then again i'm only 14, and I don't complain much. But anyway, let's get to it...
My mom and I live about two hours from ATL. Our flight left at 9:45AM, so wanted to get there about 7:15. We took the 5:15 Groome Transportation shuttle from Columbus, Georgia to ATL. We didn't leave from CSG because it really isn't worth the money, and we were flying Frontier anyway. [CSG only serves Delta]
We arrived at ATL a little before 7:15. We stood in line for check-in for about 10 minutes. After that we headed to security, which didn't take longer than 10 minutes either. Then we rode on the underground train to Concourse D. We got there pretty early and wondered around the concourse for a while.
FLIGHT ONE
July 06, 2007
Frontier Airlines flight 429
ATL-DEN
Plane: Airbus A319
Gate: D7
Departure: 9:45AM EST
Arrival: 10:00AM MST
Seats: 16A & 16B
Boarding and pushback were on time. Next to us on the left was a AirTran 717 followed by a 737.
We began the long taxi to Runway 26L, then we took off. The only thing I don't like about A319s is the swaying of the aircraft when you are taking off. It feels like the pilot is struggling to keep the plane on the runway. Soon we were on the about 2 1/2 hour journey to DEN. The flight was not eventful at all, and I enjoyed watching 'Blades of Glory' on the PTV.
I love the way there are so many crop fields around DEN and then all of the sudden there's an airport.
We landed on Runway 26 at DEN. Then we taxied to the gate at Concourse A, and parked at A26.
We had about two hours and ten minutes until our next flight started boarding. We bought some breakfast at McDonalds, and sat down to eat. After that we walked up and down the concourse for a while, looking at planes and going in some of the shops. I saw other Frontier planes, JetBlue planes, and an Air Canada A320. We checked the departure board and discovered that our gate had been changed from A38 to A28.
FLIGHT TWO
July 06, 2007
Frontier Airlines flight 659
DEN-SFO
Plane: Airbus A319
Gate: A28
Departure: 12:10PM MST
Arrival: 2:15PM PST
Seats: 15E &15F
We boarded and push backed on time and headed to runway 25. We took off and then flew over the Rockies, which is an amazing sight. The flight was uneventful. And I managed to get about an hour of sleep, which was good because I hadn't slept the night before. Pretty soon, we started to descend over the bay, and I could see the Bay Bridge and Oakland in the distance. I'm almost sure that we touched down on Runway 16L, but I'm not positive. Then we taxied to gate 43 in Terminal 1, Boarding Area C.
We collected our luggage, then met my aunt, who had arrived at about the same time from SEA on United. Then we took an airport shuttle to our hotel. We stayed in San Francisco one week, and had a really great time.
Seven days later we woke up around 6:00AM and packed up to leave the hotel. We took the shuttle back to the airport. At Terminal 1, Boarding Area C, my mom and I said good-bye to my aunt, and then headed to the check-in counter. After check-in we headed to security. The line was REALLY long. We got at the back, but it started to move pretty quickly. We probably got through in 30 minutes. Then we got some bagels at a bakery, then sat down to eat them in front of our gate. Boarding started at 8:40.
FLIGHT THREE
July 13, 2007
Frontier Airlines flight 668
SFO-DEN
Plane: Airbus A319
Gate: 41
Departure: 9:15AM PST
Arrival: 12:43PM MST
Seats: 16A & 16B
Boarding and pushback were on time again, and took off on Runway 1L and had an amazing view of the whole city. We turned to the east and were on our way back to Denver. This flight was also uneventful, and we flew over the Rockies again. We landed on Runways 16L. I'm not sure what gate we parked at.
We only had 10 minutes until our next flight started boarding, so we made a quick stop by Panda Express for lunch, and then hurried to the gate. But on the way there, I saw a Lufthansa A340 parked at A41! I was so excited because I had never seen one before. I made sure to get some pictures.
FLIGHT FOUR
July 13, 2007
Frontier Airlines flight 424
DEN-ATL
Plane: Airbus A319
Gate: A42
Departure: 1:30PM MST
Arrival: 6:25PM EST
Seats: 16A & 16B
Boarding and pushback were once again on time, and we headed to Runway 17L. I overheard one of the FA saying that there were almost 15 infants on this flight! We took off and hit some pretty bad turbulence right after take-off. It only lasted about five or ten minutes, and the rest of the flight was uneventful. We landed on 27R and taxied to gate D7. I saw some OAI DC10s parked somewhere off to the side of the runway.
We collected our luggage and then took the Groome Transportation van back to Columbus. Then we drove home.
We had a very good time on this trip. I love Frontier. The FAs were all friendly and nice, and the planes were clean. The snacks they have are awesome. And the PTVs are a really nice touch.

Very nice first trip report. Did you catch all the different animals you flew on?
I was also flying out of SFO on 7/13 so its always cool to see a TR coincide.

Thanks for all the positive comments!
JpetekYXMD80, I don't remember the animals that were on the tails, except for the last flight which was N927FR, 'Flip' the bottle nose dolphin that you can see in one of the pictures.
Next time I'll be sure to get all the information I can, but like I said, I wasn't planning on making a TR out of that trip.

And I thought it was just me that noticed that. Thanks for confirming that I am not crazy
