Well, i got back last night from my trip to Fla. Got to see a friend from europe again. Anyways on with the report.
July19th, 6:00am: Arrived at Fayetteville Regional Airport, North Carolina. I check in only to find out that my original flight on an ASA regional jet has been changed to an Emb-120. So i had to take a later flight in ATL to MCO. So went down to the gate and watched the first Us Airways Express flight lift off. Anyway 6:55 rolls around and they begin boarding flight 4793 to ATL. I said goodbye to my dad and proceded to walkout to the airplane. Got a seat next to the engine so i couldn't see much. Takeoff was very loud and shaky. I couldn't believe all the vibrations and buzzes i was hearing. Nonetheless we got in the air and i sat back and enjoyed the 75 minute flight. Very nice flight attendant. One of the nicer ones I have encountered. Arrived in Atlanta around 8:45AM.
So now I have missed my original flight. 1999 on an MD-11. There goes my window seat. So now I have a ten o'clock departure on flight 1978. I was hoping it was an L1011 but it was in fact a 777-200. Very nice looking. Once i got onboard whoa!!! I was suprised at all the headspace inside. I felt like I was shrinking. Simply amazing. Good thing I didn't have to adjust my air nozzle. That would have required me to stand completely up and stretch. I should also mention that I was put in the middle of the aircraft with people on both sides of me. grrrrr..... Engine startup was okay couldn't even makeout the startup. Those engines are very quiet. Anybody know what kind of engines thery are?? Takeoff was smooth, I have never seen wings flex and bend like that before in my life. Got a little snack and a Coke. (why can't they just give you a whole can??)The flight was short. I watched Fraiser on my little TV monitor, switching back and forth to the flight status. Landing was uneventful and once the plane parked I got off to spend a week in Florida.
July25 2:30pm. Delta Flight 966. Depart DeBary, Florida for a very long car ride to Orlando. Once we got there I checked in and proceded to gate 80, only to be told that there was bad weather in Atlanta and all flights have been delayed. After about an hour they allowed people to star boarding and stopped once again because of lightning. So I finally got on around six thirty (5:25 original time).A Boeing 767-400ER was my ride. Typical coach food. A Coke and some mixed snack. Very tasty though. That was a good flight. Approaching Atlanta was interesting because you could see all the aircraft lined up to land. I even saw the plane we lined up behind. I think it was a 767-200 in old colors of Delta. So after arriving at 8:02pm, I had about 45 minutes to get to my gate for my ride home. I had just enough time to get there and find out the plane was delayed 30 minutes. So my dinner consisted of abag of Bugles, a Snickers, and a Mr. Pibb.
Finally at 9:35pm I boarded ASA Flight4353, another Emb-120. So we finally got in the air around ten. after takeoff we turned around and flew by the airport. I counted around 23 aircraft i could see circling the airport. then up into the clouds. couldn't see anything so i closed my shade and read my NASCAR magazine. Flew into some pretty bad turbulence about an hour into the fight. Approach into FAY was bumpy and you could clearly see the a/c swaying in the air. Landing was pretty bumpy. Pulled up to the gate, got off and that was the end of my trip.

Hey. I will hopefully be on flight 1978 next year on a 777-200. Is takeoff good? Do they have the TV's on? Good service? How's the Delta 764? Do they have PTV's yet? What about the EMB-120? I'll also be on that too. Looking foward to your response.

Was there any inflight service on ASA? Delta never gives people the whole can. Thats why they enlarged the cups. They used to give you a little dinky cup. I fly with Northwest or United because they provide me with inflight service that is worth my ticket price, I dislike Delta.
