I travelled as a student ambassador for the last 3 weeks, here's my flight report:

AA1527- EWR-ORD
"super 80"/MD-82
Apparently the travel agent screwed up so we had to leave for zurich from chicago. For the 2+ hours, the seats weren't that bad, and we got a really good snack. I was surprised that both the flight attendants in coach were guys. Smooth flights, great T/O and Landing.

AA170- ORD-ZRH
767-300ER
It was a night flight, but a lot of us stayed awake for the 8h 45 flight to avoid jet lag. The food was vile, as well as a few of the stewardesses. The seats were a little cramped, and the movie was hard to see (even tho i didn't want to see "head over heels"). When we landed and we were waiting for the gate to open one of the f/a's yelled at us and told us that we were on an active runway. She did not know that there were 3 pilots with about 70h total in the group (inc. me) and we told everyone that if we were on an active runway we would all be dead  Laugh out loud.

AA09(er)3- LHR-EWR
A300
3 weeks later, after winding our way thru europe, we left from LHR. I don't care what anyone says about airbuses, there was more room on the A300 than the 763, we all had PTV's, and the food was infinitely better (chicken and pizza). 2 male flight attendants was weird, but all 4 coach f/a's were guys on this flight. They were a lot nicer than the ones on 1527 (don't get me wrong, there was 1 nice f/a on 1527). very good t/o and landing and the pilot was very good coming into EWR with all the clouds.

cool trip report. How did you like Zürich airport and Switzerland? I flow in april from DFW to ZRH, where I live on a AA 777. The flight was great. The seat pitch was amazing, the flight attendants were all elder womens but very nice and the food was great. For me is AA the best US airline. Why couldn't you fly directly from EWR to ZRH? American is codesharing this flight, which is operated by Swissair?
Greetings
Mike, Switzerland

The travel agent screwed up so we left from chicago. don't get me started on how cool the toilets are @ o'hare.

Zurich was nice, everything was in english as well as german and there was even a starbucks!

I would've prefered the swissair a330 to the 767. I like 737s and 57s but i was not impressed with the 67. maybe its because i usually fly CO.

Swissair offers a very good service on all flights. They are very good. But the seats in Economy class in their A330 are very small. Their MD11's are ok. I flow this year with AA from DFW to ZRH and I loved the flight. For me is AA the best US airline (never flown with CO) The 777 is my favourite plane. The seat pitch was amazing on board of AA planes due their new concept more room for Coach. Try the 777.
Greetings

Good trip report. Although it seems you could've flown from JFK if the EWR-Zurich flight was full. Well I hope it was nice anyways.

BTW, Once I flew from Houston to Honolulu and I flew through STL and LAX so I know what you mean by backtrackin' a bit.
