Unfortunately I was stuck with a middle seat and thought the trip would be a nightmare. In Addition I saw my seat mate was a young mother with a small baby. As soon as I sat down things began to improve. The seats were all leather and the pitch was an fantastic 33 inches...so far so good.
I watched the free for Direct TV. Then my major mistake. I didnt know what I was doing so I accidentally purchased a movie when all I wanted ot do was watch TV. So $8 down the drain and I watched the Simpsons Movie, which wasnt very good. Snack service was basically the same a one would get on Delta over a similar stage length. I had Hot and Sweet California Nuts, a $5 Molson and water. After the movie I blew another $5 on TV. So F9 made an ancillary $18 off me in revenue.
My baby seat mate turned out to be better behaved than most adults. He was 8 months old and didnt cry one bit. Mostly slept and did some laughing. We arrived in DEN 2:55 after leaving ATL.
Date: Dec 15th
Flight No: 577
Routing: DEN-SLC
Departure Time: 1930 (45 min late)
Arrival Time: 2045 ( 35 min late)
Aircraft: A319
Load: approx 100%
Short flight only beverage service, nothing else. I had water only. Interesting thing was immediately after takeoff we climbed to about 3500 feet, leveled off for 5 minutes then resumed our climb. I thought this was for noise abatement but the pilot said it was for air traffic. Very few bumps flying over the Continental Divide which is normally real real bumpy. Arrived in SLC and headed to my hotel.
I skied Alta and Park City. Alta was awesome. Best time I ever had skiing. The snow was great and the skis I rented were light as a feather. Park City was another story. Not all the runs are open for some reason despite plenty of snow. Anther thing about PC that annoys me is their habit of hiring 18 year olds from the southern hemisphere to work in the pro shop, in an effort no doubt to save money. Well the skis I rented had a broken binding yet the ski experts from someplace it never snows insisted there wasnt a problem. It took me 20 minutes to work it out. Plus the equipment was crap anyway. Snow conditions were pretty good and the weather was nice.
Having only a 30 minute connection in DEN I asked the gate agent if she could please move me forward. I dont know why I was initially assigned to sit in the last row when I had a 30 minute connection. I was moved up to row 2. However, when I boarded there was a family sitting in my seat. So I just took their seats in the bulk head row. The FA rewarded me with free TV (watched Saturday Night Fever on VH1)for the one hour flight for not making a fuss. Simple beverage only service I had ginger ale. We arrived in DEN and luckily the same plane was going on to ATL, so no gate change. I went to grab some food and headed back to the gate.
I had an aisle seat for this flight and since I now knew how to operate the Direct TV, I only purchased TV this time. I enjoyed my self watching Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations. I had a Heineken, Hot and Sweet Nuts and some water. Now the A319 I flew had cloth seats and it felt like 31 inch pitch. IT was noticeably more uncomfortable than the A318 I flew to DEN on . Even though I had an aisle seat, the middle seat with 33 inches pitch was far more comfortable.
Overall I loved my travel experience on F9 and will definitely fly them again. Two issues: One they need to serve bottled water rather than water in a cup and two, much more importantly, the Direct TVs need to have a little button that allows the screen to be turned off. I can see how on a red eye flight one might want to sleep but would be bothered by the glow from the tv screen.

Nice TR.
Seems that F9 impressed on you. That is excellent.
Really luck you had that the baby didnt cry or even disturb you on your way to DEN.

Nice trip report!
The flight attendants usually make an announcement letting folks know that they can turn off the TV by holding down the brightness (-) button until the screen dims...good to know for next time.

i pulled up the crew roster and one of the flight attendants on your DEN-ATL leg is a very good friend of mine and an excellent co-worker...hope she added to your overall experience on frontier
It's an entirely different kind of flying; all together.

Interestingly the LiveTV policy is changing for Frontier now. Frontier's giving up on using LiveTV as a revenue generator. Now your $5 will all go to LiveTV. However if you're comped the service for a flight, F9 will be charged the access fee.

If their system is like JetBlue's, and I think it is, you can turn the brightness down to zero and the screen actually goes dark (as in off). On redeyes, this can be priceless, unless your seat mate insists on watching informercials all night long!
