After arriving to Vienna at 21:50, I needed to get to Bratislava Airport (BTS). I have found out on the internet that one company operates the last bus of the night leaving at 0:45 on Jan 7 from VIE and arriving to BTS at 1:50 in the morning giving me plenty of time for my 7:00 flight to PRG.
the bus arrived on time and at 1:50 am I was at the deserted BTS airport terminal. There was nothing going on there, everything was shut down. Outside the terminal was very cold, inside very warm. It is the first time for me in BTS and i feel like I have moved 30 years back. The terminal is very old with even older facilities and services. It is very small too.

Check in opened for all Sky Europe flights at about 2 hours and 30 minutes before departure. I was to check in right away to get rid of my bag so i could wonder around easily.

This is it. The end of the trip which I enjoyed a lot. There might be some business trips between now and April, in April, i will travel PRG-BRU-THF-BRU-PRG with Brussels airlines.

Thats 3 really good reports you've put together there. You obviously wanted to get those LX business seats as you were prepared to travel through the night to get to the departing airports.

At least the building was not locked ...
About 25 years ago, we had a morning flight out of TIV and after our coach had arrived at the airport, somebody local had to find the janitor to open up the building for us.
I have used BTS only once sofar, and Arrivals was quite okay. However, "Departures" (before and past security) was unable to cope with pax numbers of 3 flights (IIRC) including my LH CRJ.

I cannot say about the security, as mine was breeze, but this was at 5 am in the morning and there were hardly any flights going out apart Czech Airlines to PRG, Lufthansa to MUC and those are only CRJ or ATR.
But only 2 security stations and when 3-4 full B737 departing within an hour of each other, i can well imagine the hell on earth there. Must be bad. I have heard similar stories of your from other pax as well.
Well, i wanted to put BTS to my log book and I have it. My next in plan is to visit Kosice (KSC), INN, LUG, THF.
THF is alredy booked for April. Whenever SKY has some specials, I will try to book PRG-BTS-KSC-PRG route for a days trip.

A report from my favourite airport - BTS! Thank you very much! It's just a shame you were unable to visit the café to drink a Zlatý Bazant beer... And I do agree with one of the previous posters that going thru security at BTS with more than one 737-load of passengers waiting isn't that fun - especially when most of the passengers are unexperienced and don't know how to act (British stag parties and the like comes to mind)
When it comes to KSC - try it! It's like a smaller version of BTS, but with a much more modern, fresh feeling.

Some nice pics once again! A pity NE doesn't fly to STR any more, I had some nice experience with them both on Emb-120 and B737-700. Hoping the best for their future, and of course looking forward to reading that SN Brussels report to THF!
