At least there is some sanity on weekend traffic especially in the morning. Took me only 30 mins to get to the airport. Like with most flights to Bali, this one was done at the international check in desk, but I didn’t have to go there as a valet attended to me. As usual, the rest of my time was spent just waiting in the Garuda lounge which was really busy with the flurry of morning departures.

This is probably my 3rd time on PK-GWQ. If I am not wrong, this flight is continuing to Perth hence once the domestic passengers have boarded, the international one came on board.
GA’s 2 B744’s ready to go
100% full load in both J and Y.
Had the omelets for breakfast
The flight itself was pretty bumpy all the way to crusing altitude, but beside that, another routine domestic run with Garuda.

1 day really isn’t enough for Bali, but its time to head home to reality now. The villas that opened was the Karma Kandara near Uluwatu and it was just beautiful, will definitely head back there. Only managed to get to bed in the wee hours and got up with just enough time to shower and pack up before my friend’s car picked me up to the airport. Arrived at the airport with 1 hour to go and as usual with nothing much to do, all my time was spent at the Garuda lounge at the airport. However, the 1st security check did take an extraordinary long time to get in due to the gaggle of Japanese tourists who seem lost as usual!

1st time on board PK-GEE, actually its my first time aboard any of Garuda’s B738. Seats have been refurbished a little, but they were originally from Garuda’s A300.
But one thing I really can’t complain were the superb leg room for seats 1A and B. Really made the right choice on seat selection. This aircraft was initially in an all Y configuration but Garuda was smart enough to realize that they have a lot of passengers who travel on J. Hence they put in the J seats. Managed to see one of the aircrafts I fly on a lot, MH’s A333 9M-MKD, and also spotted a SQ B772ER, 9V-SRC.

After the meal I just slept all the way back to Jakarta.

Does Garuda fly a 737-400 to Perth??
Nice report and good pictures as always
Must say that Garuda's meals in J-Class looks absolutly fantastic for a 1h 30 min flight.. Compared to what you get on TG's doemestic flight's in J it looks gourmet
Your rented villa in Bali really look's nice I have now put Bali on my "to do" list

A nice TR as usual! The hotel looked really nice and GA's short-haul J service seemed really good.
I'm really looking forward to your private jet flight.
Thanks for sharing.
I won't stop complaining until SAS reintroduces free service in Economy Class!

Ahhhh... Uluwatu... My partner and I had our "wedding" photos taken there.
Anyway. Great to read your report as always. Sad to see the seemingly haphazard way GA has decided to install JCL seats on the 738. Dusting off the old A300 ones, as you mentioned? Urgh... That being said, I have a friend who lives in Kelapa Dua, and he has a YCL GA DC8 seat in his study! Woah! I almost came in my pants when I saw it! His dad, in the "good old days", used to be a manager for GA.

Usually GA uses the B738, but on certain occasions, the B734 does ply the route too

Hi Mark, yeah, you are right on tht, but I also just got back from HKG and both flight were also in GA in J, and both were done by B738's ahahha so I got them 3 times in a row now, but one of those flight to HKG was done by a leased aircraft from Futura with Futura pilots and grond crew, but cabin crew still GA
Quoting BA319-131 (Reply 6): I must say that picture impressed me, certainly excellent leg room.

Quoting Ronerone (Reply 8): WOW! Will you be posting a TR on this here?
Hi Roni! How have you been? Thanks again for reading. Anyways, the private jet is still a go for far I've heard, I just hope the trip does not have too many people on it...if it does, it would mean a chartered jet like a commercial A320, I really hpe they still stick with the private jet huh
