On Aeroflot's A310 flight, you should get good food and service. I think Aeroflot's intra-European flights are up to the same standards as any other carrier on those routes. I know they are better than SAS, for example.
As far as SVO II, it's not much to look at - very dingy and dark, but interesting to walk around. There are really no areas where you can see planes taking off and landing, apart from an upstairs restaurant. You can order food (which takes awhile to be served) and sit and watch over the balcony through large windows looking out on the runway. I don't think you can sit near these windows on the lower level, though, because they are back near the jetways, which are not accessible unless you're going to get on a plane.

You can also expect to have long queues on arrival for passport control/customs - took our group 2 hours to get through.
Departures is even worse - limited number of check-in desks which only open when the previous flight that checked in at those desks is closed - took 1 hour to get to front of our queue only to be told that we were too early to check in. The passport control queue took 90mins to get through also

It took 30 minutes at SVO to clear immigration three weeks ago, inbound, and 15 minutes to check in and 5 minutes to get through passport control outbound - obviously the queuing times vary at different times.
Aeroflot's A310s weren't too bad - acceptable by west European standards almost. Their 777-200 from SVO to Beijing was a different story - what a heap. I might just post a report on that soon...
Nice views from the restaurant on the 5th floor of SVO 2 - the food is fair, the beer not too expensive, and there's an area down the left hand end where you can stand if you don't want to eat. Photography no problem through the windows no problem. The rest of the terminal can best be dewscribed as lacking in comparison to west European standards.
