Just wondering if anyone has flown with the new UK based charter airline Excel Airways. Where did you go?, what was it like? Aircraft, Crew, Service, Food, Entertainment etc.

A friend of mine flew Manchester - Salzburg with them and said they were "alright". Nothing amazing, just another UK charter thats been rebranded.

Aircraft are ex-Britannia 767's, and new(?) 738's.

They used to be called Sabre Airways but now are known as Excel, and have NG 737-800's and some leased 767-200's

ermmm, considering that the blokes' user name says he's a 737 NG perser, and that his profile says he's cabin crew, I have a sneeky suspision that he does infact work for XLA! Therefore he wants to know what you thought about the service etc. When he says 'what was the aircraft like' he means how did you find the interior, seats etc, not what types Excel operate...

Is me right?!

Flew to Rhodes from Gatwick with Excel, clean aircraft, very nice and friendly crew, food was OK too.
The seats a little close together, but hey, Charter flights!!

Have to say the flight deck crew where fantastic, caption and F/O let me stay in there for ages, sat in the jump seat and they gave me a complete tour off the deck.
