This is my first trip report, so please tell me what your opinions are.
Never been to Frankfurt airport before, so me and a few mates decided why not book a few days off work.
Plus, anything to get away from work, we all work at MAN airport, so we thought it would be nice to see how other airports handled different traffic.

We all had prebooked extra legroom seats, so we all had a window each over 2 rows.
I was sat on 10A on the left side of the plane.
We boarded through stand 9 on time and soon enough the L1 door was closed. Passenger load was about one third full.
The other morning LH flight pushed just before ours off to Munich next door on stand 7, otherwise we would have pushed early.
Awaiting pushback from Stand 09
BMI A330 G-WWBB loading up for a longhaul flight somewhere
Seating arrangement onboard Quebec Sierra
Was very satisfied with the amount of legroom on their A320's
Crossing runway 23R with a BMI A319
We executed a rolling takeoff from 23L just 10 mins from pushback, and due to the light load we were airbourne in no time.
Climbing away from MAN into the low cloud base
Nice gap between the lower and upper level clouds
This traffic on my left hand side stayed parallel with us for some time before turing away to the left.
Traffic at 9 o'clock
The approach into Frankfurt was brilliant. We came in from the North, made a serious of right turns to line up with runway 25L.
Some excellent views were to be had, with the sun shining on the scenery.
Making the approach into a sunny Frankfurt
Final approach runway 25L
We touched down 10 minutes ahead of our scheduled arrival time, which is always a bonus.
Waiting for the touchdown
Vacating 25L
First glimpse of Lufthansa heaven
After the company A320...
Passing the huge Technik hangar, with D-AIAP on tow
We arrived at gate A28, and were bussed to the Terminal, no too sure why as our gate had an airbridge, maybe someone can enlighten me.

A few choice images from the many taken over the 3 days we were there:
TUI 737 D-AHFU
Russia State Transport Company A320 EI-DZR
We also took the 45 minute bus ride airside around the airport and what can I say, it was awesome.

It was time for us to return back to Manchester, and I must say, as international airports go, FRA rates amongst the best I have ever been to.
This Singapore Airlines 773 came onto stand while we were grabbing a bite to eat, along with a Thai 744, what a sight.
I wish we got the 300 series at MAN, 9V-SWE
We eventually boarded at 21:50, and were bussed out to our aircraft on remote stand.
Passenger load on this Tuesday evening was 90% full, I was sat in the middle seat (22E) while my friend occupied the window seat. The two other guys were sat 2 rows behind.
Boarding via the rear steps of Quebec Bravo
The flight was pretty smooth until we made our approach into MAN. As we descended through the rain clouds, it was rather bumpy, as expected.
Soon we arrived back onto Stand 9 where our journey began. We offloaded via the front steps onto the wet Manchester apron, and into the terminal.
Back on Stand 09, with our aircraft being offloaded
All in all, anyone who has never visited FRA airport, it should be on the spotting list. The airport as well as the city was magnificent.
Would be happy to go back anytime.
So until next time....
Thanks for taking the time to read

Hi, Alan,
always nice to read about another one´s view into FRA.
An airport where I was for a simple lot of times!.

The A pier is Schengen Area, so it´s usual when your machine doing the next intra Schengen ride, the non-Schengen arrivals gone by bus to the entrance.
Sounds you had a great time there.
For your next arrival on the 25´s, take the other side,
the skyline is amazing.

Hi Airbuseric,
We used our contacts originally to reserve the exit seats on one row, but once on board, no-one else outside the group sat on any of the other exit seats, so we moved and all had a window each.
