Hi everybody !

This is my first trip report on Airliners.net, so please be indulgent!

For my first trip report, I propose to travel from Nantes to Singapore

My TR included the following flights :

AF7731: NTE-CDG (Airbus A319)
AF256: CDG-SIN (Boeing 777-300ER) in Economic Class

First, Check-in at NTE to take the flight AF7731 to Paris Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, then after passing security checks, I headed for the door 42.

Before entering the aircraft, a wide selection of french newspapers is offered to us (Liberation, Le Monde, L'Equipe)

Next, Boarding. My seat is 09E, but, I could change seat because the plane was not full to place beside the window & enjoy a better view !

A JET4YOU.COM Boeing 737

The flight is short (45 minutes) but the crew gives us a snack, I opt for a drink Pepsi and a small plateau composed of a lemon tart and a cheese sandwich.

Next, I check-in for my flight to Singapore and I do shopping in Duty-Free Zone.

I headed for the gate E69 located in the new terminal by the CDGVAL.

Our Plane (B777-300ER)

Welcome onboard!

On board, the crew directs me to my seat, the seat 25H in the middle row. This place is quite comfortable because I could put my legs in the aisle to sleep that night!

The private screen shows the distance and duration of the flight:

10732 km (6668 miles) for 12 hours

A few dozen minutes after takeoff, the first meal is offered and a crew member tells us that macaroni were replaced by pork with peppers & rice

Shortly thereafter, my meal tray arrives, I chose the Grilled vegetable tart, then the pork with rice, camembert cheese, yogurt & mango-passion fruit cake

After lunch, I watch movies and look at the latest French movies ( "Disco" with Franck Dubosc & "Welcome to the Sticks" with Dany Boon & Kad Mérad ")

During the film, I'm going in "self-service areas", to take a ice-cream and a picture!

The kit comfort is sketchy, but allows, as its name indicates, a minimum comfort!

Then, I try to sleep and arrive!

2 hours before landing

Breakfast is served us, my shelf consists of a hot chocolate, meat, a fruit salad, bread and jam, and an orange juice and a yoghurt.

The function camera located below the aircraft, allows us to view the images of Thai islands:

Arriving at Changi Airport, Singapore

We arrive at Terminal 1 where we do the formalities of immigration. No picture of this zone where I accelerated so as not to wait while the airport is very pleasant…

After getting my bags, I take two photos before taking the shuttle to my hotel: the "Grand Hotel Mercure Roxy" located 20 minutes from the airport

Outside the airport

Thank you for the report.

Was it a dinner-time flight? On a recent MUC-CDG, we got only cookies. That lemon tart looks pretty good.

It looks like the new seat (i.e. 3+4+3 in Economy)... legroom seems quite ok.

Quoting OneWay (Thread starter):
Shortly thereafter, my meal tray arrives, I chose the Grilled vegetable tart, then the pork with rice, camembert cheese, yogurt & mango-passion fruit cake

Except for your main course, the tray looks exactly like what we got on AF272 to NRT just over a week ago. I really liked the vegetable tart although it was a little cold... tastes kinda like ratatouille on puff pastry.

Quoting OneWay (Thread starter):

Did they offer cup noodles as well?

The earplugs were great. I now resolve to bring a set on every flight.

Breakfast tray also very similar.

So there is an external camera view... did they switch it to view forward during takeoff and landing?

Main Course was really good for a economic meal.

They switch it to view the takeoff & landing, i really enjoyed this experience !

I will soon make a trip report all around Indonesia and return to Nantes in business class with AF. Please, consult them if you liked this TR  Wink

Welcome to the TR forum, Florian. You started your series well - and great to see you already included meal pics in your first TR!

That looks very tasty, especially the tart - I didn't know that AF still serves snacks on domestic hops.

Quoting OneWay (Thread starter):

Nice - my AF 77W didn't have such a map some years ago.

Quoting OneWay (Thread starter):

Doesn't look bad, I also like the presentation. But I guess the vegetable tart wouldn't be to my taste.

Menu card, amenity kit, ice cream - AF needs to be praised for these details. Many carriers have dumped all that, including some airlines usually known for good inflight service, e.g. MH.

Nice report and pictures, quite enjoyed this, thanks.

- Not bad, though AF had done away with catering on such short flights.

- Again, not bad, quite impressed really, looks ok.

No, as you saw in this TR. But it's done only at meal times

nice report...
the food certainly looks better than my recent CDG KUL flight on MH. In fact, MH meals not only have gotten smaller but less well presented too. And no more ice cream.
though I think MH still are great for seat comfort and service (had, as always, great and friendly crew)...

Thanks for posting the picture of Concorde F-BVFF.

I would have preferred that they keep her on the tarmac in a "real life situation" rather than displaying her as a "Concorde statue" but at least she is there, visible by everybody.

I have spent many a time with them at CDG.

I really miss my pointy ladies.  Sad

There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde
