Hi there,
Awesome report.
While the AA menu is indeed typically American and (for me!) not as "first class" as it could be it sounds like the service is good and attentive ... waking up from a deep slumber only to have an FA instantaneously at your side asking if you're hungry ... nice.

Hey CharlesMD!
Great Trip report. I enjoyed reading it very much as always with your reports. Good thing you made the flight to Delhi! if you can, please keep me up to date with your future travels! i'll be expecting some more, excellent TRs.

Travelling is not all about the destination. its about how you get from point A to point B and everything in between.

Sundae is in her/his cage/living area alive and well. In terms of future trip reports I anticipate a few more AA, BA, CX trip reports! I am so glad the stock market is back up!

Excellent report considering flying in F is by now very boring... (I agree with that comment by the way!)
Quoting AJO (Reply 6): I don't know if you referring to the US as "the greatest country on earth" should make me laugh or cry...
I was going to make more or less the same comment. Having lived in the States I know that the poster most likely believes this with all of his heart. It is a very rare sort of tunnel vision...

Impressive title...
i enjoyed reading it. Glad you made the flight considering your delay at JFK.
The food options seem good. Its F after all. The descriptions of the plate setting were hilarious.
I wish you had captured some pics from DEL T2, i know there is nothing much, but just wanted to see the the changes they have made to T2 to make it look better. I guess the lounge was alright. is the airport as chaotic as ever? How long did it take to clear immigration?? How was the check-in process?? did you still have to x-ray your bag before etc. etc.??
Though by 2010, T3 will take over all the pax operations and hopefully DEL will have lounges for different carriers that operate from there.

Great Trip Report! Always fun to read about an exotic routing. I loved the line about how fast they got your nuts and mozzarella out after takeoff -- now that IS some serious service up there!
Quoting AJO (Reply 6): I don't know if you referring to the US as "the greatest country on earth" should make me laugh or cry... Maybe I missed some "tongue-in-cheek-ness".

In about 18 days, hopefully we'll be turning a BIG corner over here and be able to start actually working our way back to being respected by the world again .. ok, ok nuff politics !

I flew LAX-ORD-DEL in F in June, so your trip report was definitely a sense of deja vu.
It had been a while since I had flown in an AA Flagship Suite, but I was really struck by how shabby they seemed -- stuck video screens, frayed fabric, and just an overall weariness on a product that already seems like it needs updating. The FAs were actually very good on my flight, and my FA also confirmed that the ORD-DEL flight is very desirable for FAs (especially from a shopping perspective).
I could not agree with you more on the departure from DEL. Horrible airport. Overcrowded lounge. Terrible boarding process. Could not wait to leave from that airport.
