My dad and i flew out of SAN on october 24th and returned the 28th, we were flying to Charleston for my grandpa's funeral and hopefully you will like the trip report:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
October 24th:
Departing SAN: 11:20 am
Arriving CHS: 9:38 pm
Equipment:
SAN-ATL: 757-200 Transcon
ATL-CHS: 757-200 Transcon
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We started out the morning by waiting in the Crown Room in SAN, it's pretty small compared to the ones in ATL (i'm surprised SAN even has one) but still much nicer than waiting in the gate area.
My flight from SAN-ATL reminded me why i always chose the flights using a 767-300 over the 757. The plane is just too narrow for how long it is and makes everything seem too small. I sat in row 19F thinking it would be a great seat since there was not one in front of me, now i know why it was still available. The tray table is in the right armrest making it a little narrower then the personal TV is in the left armrest making it ever more narrow, now i'm a pretty small guy and i felt extremely cramped. The exit door in front of me wouldn't have been a problem but they have some sort of padding added to the door that takes up most of you leg room (looks pretty tacky if you ask me). And wow can an exit row get cold! After all my complaining i sat down and watched some TV, i really like DL's AVOD but i was a little surprised they made you pay $5 for games and $2 to watch comedy sketches, just seems like something that should be free. But they had a great choice of movies which is really nice because i was able to leave my laptop in my backpack the whole trip and not have to worry about the battery going out.
Next came the food, i had the chicken sandwich which isnt the best in the world but i still think it's great that DL at least offers food for purchase, and the no cash thing is really great. Our cabin crew was mildly nice, there was one pretty rude FA who thought i was asking the world when i asked if i could keep the can of soda so i wouldn't have to ask for another drink (i thought i was doing her a favor). But other than that one FA the flight was very nice, good weather just a little chop when we got close to ATL.
Once in ATL we spent our 2 hour layover in the crown room in A terminal which was very nice, it's the one up high with great views of the airport.
Our ATL-CHS flight was very nice, extremely fast, about a 45 minute flight, right when the FA's handed out the first drink they were asked to sit down by the captain to prepare for landing. I was a little surprised that we had a 757 from ATL-CHS but the flight was packed! they were over booked with every seat filled!

The flight home was great, nice and smooth great service and all around a great relaxing flight. The flight from ATL-SAN was a little longer than usual but it gave my time to watch 2 movies which was perfect. Before we left ATL i went up to the cockpit to have a chat with the captain and first officer and ask them some questions (I actually want to be a commercial pilot) and they walked me through how they input the flight path into the computer, very nice of them!
So all in all it was a great flight with nothing going wrong, here are some pictures, enjoy!
