I took this quick trip in August but have been unable to post the report as I've been very busy with exams etc.

I was travelling as part of a group of about 50 members. However, when we got to Wellington Airport, we were told that our plane had gone tech the night before and that it was running late today as a result. What was meant to be a 6:00pm departure soon turned into a 7:00pm one, then an 8:00pm one, then an 8:30pm one, until it actually was 8:45pm before we left WLG.

QF really need to get those 738's here asap, as their on time performance is shocking. Every time I fly with them, they are always late. It's no wonder that they have to reduce flights due to poor load factors; nobody wants to fly with an airline that never gets you to your destination on time.

That being said, once you get on the aircraft, the cityflyer service is great. It is so nice to have free food and drink, and even a short comedy to watch on the overhead screens for just a 45 minute flight!

QF is a great airline to fly with within NZ, once you actually get on the plane. However until they sort themsevles out with newer aircraft that are more reliable, I will not fly them again. Air NZ, IMO provides a better and more reliable schedule for these short domestic flights.
