Hi guys,
let me teel you about my trip from Berlin San Francisco, though it was one and a half years ago. But 'first another question:
I'm searching for the tail numbers of the aircraft involved in this trip:
LH 171 TXL-FRA 06:05-07:15 B737-300
LH 454 FRA-SFO 09:45-11:55 B747-400
Can anyone help? It would even be great if you could tell me planes that are NOT in question of these particular flights.
But now to the report. I started off Berlin on the first flight to Frankfurt. It was fine with very friendly flight attendants (though on LH short-haul flights, in Economy Class only refreshments are offered). The plane arrived in FRA on time. As I felt, connecting flights to USA in FRA was then a complicated and bad organized (by know it was changeg). I just followed the signs to the new gate, came across a passport checkpoint and finally stood in front of the gate. But then I was told to go forward to the other end of the peer for additional US security screening. There was quite a long line of waiting passengers, most of which were not on connecting flights, but I made it well on time. I wondered what would have happened had I arrived at the gate later, because then the area would have be crowded with passengers who already cleared the additional screening and persons like me who did not. I read in a newpaper article some time ago, that by now there is aspecial screening for connecting passengers. The flight to SFO was alright, as meals were offered 2 and 9:30 hours into the flight, after somewhat like 8 h I got quite hungry. But The best was the landing approach with plane view on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Hope you enjoyed it.

D-ABXY B733 LH 0617 (hour) 20070630 (date) LH0173 (flight) (FRA-TXL)
But I wonder why the flight is LH0173 and not LH0171, considering it’s the first of the day.
