Ten days in Phuket flew past, and it was time to head back home, with a stopover in Singapore.

We proceeded to check in our bags, and went through immigration. The passport control was a long and tedious process, as there were a number of other flights departing, namely Air Asia A320 to Singapore, a Condor Boeing 767-300 to Munich via Sharjah, and a MyTravel A330 to Gothenburg via Sharjah, although I didn't get pics of the last one.

It turns out this was on of Silk Air's newest A320. It was certainly very clean, and a world of difference to the battered Air Asia 737 we flew down from Bangkok.
Here it is arriving from Singapore
Boarding was a few minutes late, but the load was very light and took no more than 10 minutes.
Thai A300 departing to Bangkok
It seems that the boarding of the Condor flight to Munich took over an hour, and was heavily delayed. Here it is after finally getting under way. The Air Asia A320 in the next gate was also heading to Singapore within a few minutes of our Silk Air flight.
The BBJ from earlier on also heading out of Phuket
Condor begining its long take off run
Our Silk Air A320. The Air Asia A320 is getting pushed back, and you can just make out a Thai B747-400 taxiing to the runway for departure back to Bangkok.
Positive Climb! Gear Up Please
You can see from the above two shots, the Thai 747 rotated before the BBJ. Its one powerful beast.
Taxiing to active. A Malaysia 737 sits at the gate
Bangkok Air A320 taxiing to runway
The takeoff was quite powerfull on Runway 09 and we were soon climbing away to the south east
Lunch was served about 20 minutes after take off
The weather in Singapore looked dreadful compared to Phuket. Rain showers.

The plane landed on Runway 02L, and had to taxi around the terminals, to the eastern side of the airport, to gate F30.

Leaving the plane. No cockpit shots this time. Pilots too busy .
We collected our bags and proceeded through immigration painlessly. The Crowne Plaza Hotel we were staying it was on the other side of the airport, next to the new Terminal 3, so we had to walk to the end of Terminal 2, then undeground, across a walkway above the train station, and into Terminal 3.

We left our bags at the hotel, and took the Train to Orchard Road for some shopping.

Indeed poor load that day. We were initially booked on an earlier flight, which they cancelled about a month earlier, and rebooked us on this one. So this one had people from two flights on it, and that still totalled about 30- 40 people.
