Hello everyone

This is a TR on a recent trip in late May I did from FLL to IAD with B6.

A couple weeks before my semester ended, I opted to visit some friends and family in Maryland and Virginia. My options were AA MIA-IAD and B6 FLL-IAD. Seeing B6's tremendous and impressive growth over the years and the rave of flattering reviews on them, it was a very easy choice overall. The semester ended and the excitement went up a notch. I received a travel remainder from them the day before which I found very courteous. Before long, it was DEE day.

There were alot of firsts fo this trip. First time on B6, first time on an A320 , first time flying out of FLL and first time flying into IAD. That's practically everything!! LOL. I had an 11am flight out so I had breakfast before preparing to head for the airport.

Check in was very quick and efficient. Under 3 minutes. The one free piece of lugguage is also a mojor incentive to travel with them.

Security at FLL is is way more less of a hassle than MIA and JFK!! Supposedly because its a sort of secondary airport with not much international traffic. I was very excited to see which B6 aircraft I would be flying on and overall, the whole B6 experience!!

Not to long after, my A320 pulled up to the gate very majestically! And it was a very special one as well! N651JB-- Beta Blue!! This, as I'm sure all B6 fanatics know, is the Blackberry-Yahoo A320!! Not bad for my first A320 ride!

One thign I noticed about FLL is that there were alot of commuting pilots, including for our flight.Boarding was eventually called and everyone boarded in an orderly fashion. Upon being greeted by the friendly cabin crew, the actual cabin itself looked very clean.

The FO welcomed us onboard on the Cabin crew tanoi. Before long, we were ready for pushback. We pushed back about 10 to 12 mins early.

Soon, this 320's IAE engines roared to life and we were on our way to IAD!

Soon enough we were at our cruising alt. FL340.

The IFE was activated shortly after climbout of FLL. The IFE on B6 is impressive to say the least. The only thing is that you have to bring your own earphones or buy a pair for $1, which isn't much of a big deal anyway. So much to take in whether it is the over 140 channels of music or DIRECTV. Not too long after, the F/A's began from the top of the cabin with a big basket of edible goodies. They annonced to everyone in the cabin to look at the menu provided in the seat pocket infront of us and decide on what combination of snack and drink we would desire. This is where I think B6 beats alot of domestic carries. They still serve some sort of snack and drink free of charge!!

The flight was becoming increasingly enjoyable. Listening to the top music hits and eating a snack.

Before I knew it, the captain announced that decent will begin in a couple minutes and dvised everyone to take or stay in their seats. I found the time really flew by with the IFE keeping me very contented.

Final Apporach was a bit of a roller coasted ride, which I enjoyed non the less! We touched down pretty smoothly and the pilot skilfully slowed sown with reverse, manual braking and spoilers that allowed as to exit at the first high speed runway exit/taxiway.


The landing was incredibly short! We arrived 25 mins early!!!! The F/A actually apologised for the such early arrival which was met with brief laughter in the cabin.

Overall, my experience was great on them!! Their efficiency in every aspect of the flight was very commendable. A great low-cost fare provided me with service that you sometimes don't experience on legacy carriers. I can see why they are rapidly expanding into the Caribbean, Central and South America. Once they keep this level of quality on all their markets, they wil continue to succeed.

Awesome TR, flew from my hometown! I have to say they look very good and I will have to try them out one day. Whats the reason you flew out of FLL? Do you usually fly out MIA?

Yes, I usually flout out of MIA to POS and in the distant past, JFK. I tried FLL because it was an airport I never out or into as well as to try B6.
