Awsome report there my compliments!
Looks like both SQ as always are still offering an amazing product (sounds odd but I really like their service wear, if a lot of other carriers could make small changes like this would make a world off difference)

Quoting T8KE0FF (Reply 5): Wouldn't eat that sandwich on that QF 747, it looked disgusting!!
The sandwich was actually quite ok. Was more impressed that QF provided all the long-haul amenities on the short-haul flight, minus the amenity kit , lol

I bet you thought Longreach meant the Jumbo...I thought this too until I went to brisbane and found out about Qantas museum and that their home town was called Longreach

When I’m so pressed for time with so many things to be done, I really appreciate such TR with just pics. No need for the details, the pictures will tell about the flight quite adequately. Thanks for putting your flight pics!
QF domestic inflight seem very good. It sure beats the LCC. But, hey you pay what you get.
SQ EY product still looks good.
You’re right, SQ’s SYD-SIN refreshment is lousy!
On my flight in June, the 2 choices were fried rice and the pie/quiche thing (the exact same one seen in the pic). I guess the fried rice was much better than the noodles you got. It looks mushy. Anyways, refreshment choice offering could be better. Sometimes SQ menu planners are so archaic in their thinking, they just can’t accept new and fresh ideas that caterers could offer (which may be cheaper too). SQ is known to be a difficult and arrogant customer that suppliers just do what they are told. If these SQ people think they know the best, why bother to suggest.

Surprisingly, my QF tickets costed about the same as Virgin Blue, so it was a no brainer on which airline to choose.

AFAIK, QF has a better hot refreshment on the same route (pasta, fruits and a tim tam bar). And yes, the noodles were near disgusting. Tasteless and mushy, yucks...
