Hi folks
My trip took place Nov24 and return was Nov28 2001. Flew from Fayetteville, NC(FAY) to Atlanta(ATL), and onto Orlando(MCO).
Well I left FAY on board a ASA/Delta Connection CRJ at around 1000am. We got to the airport at around 8:30 (believe me in Fayetteville there aren't enough people to have to arrive two hours early) I was excited about the flight, since it was going to be my first time flying a CRJ.
Once i boarded then plane i noticed a few things. First I'd like to say that I'm glad I stopped growing at 6'0"!!! MY head touched the top of the ceiling in the cabin. I'm glad my brother wasn't coming along he would have been slouched over. And as far as the seats go, 2-2. And I hope you get along with the person next to you real well. Luckily flying time was a mere hour. The flight itself was good. Those planes have alot of power, although, the pilot made alot of power adjustments once we started to descend.
After re-combing my hair ( quite a bit of static from the ceiling) we went down to Terminal A. My aunt and uncle were flying in from Denver, and their plane landed about the same time as ours. So we waited by the gate to Orlando. She showed up and he didn't. Turns out one went into the bathroom and the other came out! quite odd. So it took 20 minutes to finally have my uncle.
So once the mini renioun was over, I started looking over the plane we were to be flying on that day. My itinerary said it was to be a Boeing 767-400ER. I was glad, I rode the same plane back from MCO in July, nice plane. Well this one was a little shorter and it didn't have the distinct winglets of a 400. So i told my mom, "Don't be suprised if we have to get different seat assignments." That disapointed her cause the four of us (aunt uncle, mom, and me) were sitting together. So they announced it was an equipment change and for everyone to come get re-seated. We ended up ten rows behind them. Oh well, I had a week ahead to spend with em. So we flew a 767-300ER instead. It had alot of power to it. Although I think it was more comfy on the 400. Nonetheless, we were outbound for MCO soon. Flying time was 1 hour. Everyone (even first class) had a bag of that snack mix delta has now and some of a can of soda. Watched Frasier and then looked out the window to watch the wing work it's magic on descent.
The pilot kept the air brakes out a long time. (Must have been speeding) I started seeing things out the window that i had remembered on the landing we did in july, so i knew we were close. Then we landed, actually a pretty soft landing. The pilot hardly even touched the thrust reversers (i was sitting right next to the engine). So we were in MCO and arrived after all the international flights had. So I got to look at the Big Silver Virgin Atlantic 747 sitting there and a few other a/c.
So we de-planed and headed for baggage. TO go from the mid40's to high 80's and humidity was too much for my mom. She was in shorts before we left the airport. Picked up the rental (actually a nice mini-van) and drove to Dade City, Florida, only to learn why i have been kept away from my grandparents for 18 years.
Well that's enough for tonight. I'll do the return trip tomorrow if i can get on.

First off, thanks for your comments Chepos
Now as I said I would do the return portion so here we go:
We stayed in a hotel less than a mile from the airport, because we had a departure around 1000am. So instead of having to drive an hour and get up that much earlier we reserved a room. So, we arrived at MCO around 8am. We saw the line for curb-side check-in, and decided to go inside instead. The line inside was long, but it went fast and it's cooler inside. So we checked our bags in and they looked at our ID's and all those things and we went to security. Well luckily, security is great when you arrive at the recommended time they say. We walked right up and went through.
So we boarded the little trams to Terminal 4. After getting off we proced to buy Starbucks coffee and wen to gate 74 and watch for our 777 to arrive.
Much to my suprise an MD-11 pulled up. Well it was the same flight number and all, so i didn't worry. So my mom and i sat there for a half hour watching them unload the plane. You should take time once and a whiel and watch it. It can be something to do.
So they finally announced that they would begin boarding the plane. And of course we were near the front so we had to wait a while.
I took time to look at how many people there were going to be boarding. Since only the ticketed passengers are in the gate, it seemed suprisingly low. Then out of no where I'd say 20 or so people waltzed up and got on the plane. And what bugs me the most is that most of those people were sitting in rows in front of mine. I hate people who think that the rules don't apply to them.
Anyways, Once onboard and after giving out several nasty stares, we proceeded to push back and begin taxiing. This must have been an older MD-11 because you could tell when he was putting brakes on during taxi, because the whole floor rumbled and you could hear the whining noise from the brakes being applied. IT was not a pleasant thing to hear, especially for my mom. Well we finally took off and turned north. I took some pictures out the window of Daytona International Speedway (big race fan by the way) And of the beach area. The flight was short, only about 50 minutes this time.
Once we landed we heard the squeaky brakes again all the way to the gate. We arrived in the international terminal in ATL ( i don't remember what terminal letter it is I think D or T)
So upon arrival we went downstairs and boarded the tram to Terminal C. Those trams are very nifty. It beats walking the whole way!!!
So we got off at C and went down to the Delta Connection area. I looked at my itinerary and saw that we had a CRJ as our return hop home. But, the plane was changed at the last minute to an EMB-120. I was quite angry with this, because that meant a few things
1) The trip would be longer
2) Loud inside during flight
3) Re-ticket all passengers, resulting in my mother and i being split up
So we finally got on board about 35 minutes after our scheduled departure time. Then to everyone's displeasure we SAT there with the door open for 45 minutes!!! Everyone was onboard and we were ready to get home and we sat there for 45 minutes! Thanks alot ASA
Long story short finally took off to enjoy a noisy bumpy flight back home to FAY. The flight was uneventful. Typical in flight beverage and snack mix. Landing was pretty good.
Just for the record, not one of the aircraft on our itinerary was the actual plane we used the whole time. And I must say, ASA you have disapointed the Adams family again
If you live in Fayettevile and are reading this, fly USAIR, they will at least get you there in the time needed.
