Welcome to Taipei
This was the 2nd time I flew with China Airlines, like the 1st time, I was very happy with their inflight service, catering and IFE. It might not be SQ or EK quality. But with the price they were charging, what more couldone ask for?

It's a bit surprising seeing Cathay Pacific flying with China Airlines xD
No, none of China Airlines' J seats are flat.
They did downgrade certain stuff in 2008 so it's not all accurate.

Great TR. Did SYD-TPE-FRA return in CI's J class last year July and would not hesitate to fly with them again. As you mentioned, they are not on par with SQ, EY or EK but in my opinion it is a great product if you consider the low price you pay compared to the "big boys".
Quoting 9V-SVC (Reply 5): Nice photos, glad to see them improving all these years ! In Taiwan, you have 2 great airlines, EVA Air and China Airlines. Hope to try them some day.
What a pity Eva no longer flies to SYD
Anyway, please stay tuned for the next instalment, TPE-HKG on CI's B744

Looking forward to this...Great trip report on CI's A333! Glad you were able to view your aircraft from the large windows, unlike us boxed in some remote corner with high windows that was our gate for the flight to the US.
