Preflight
After arriving from KL, it was a long taxi to a remote stand. And some slight hiccup from the Royal First pick up service meant I had to wait a couple of minutes. What all this meant was that by the time I got to the Royal First Lounge it was only an hour before my departure, so sadly no time for a body massage from the Royal Orchid Spa. F lounge was really full, never really seen it so packed before. Was told the flight to FRA was also pretty full in F.
So I decided to take a shower to freshen up before my next flight
Time to have something to eat and relax in the lounge
In flight
Just as mentioned, 100% full in all classes.
My favourite sanctuary, F on board TG B744
Full in all classes including F today
Inflight Menu for today
More scenes in F cabin
Meal Time
After the meal I just relaxed by watching movies on my laptop
Seems to be an odd time as I thought it was not the peak travel season yet. As usual I dozed off after dinner and woke up with 2 hrs to spare. Although it was full in F. The crew really did a fantastic job making sure everyone's wishes were fulfilled.
Service: 10/10
Food: 9/10

After almost a week in Germany and Austria, it was time to head home and I decided on the way back to spend a nice night relaxing in Nuremberg. This was the scenes of the Le Meridian Nuremberg.

Pre Flight
TGO as seen from the overly crowded Senator Lounge
After a busy week shuttling between Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich and Salzburg, I took a quick 1 night stop in Nuremberg on the way back to get some relaxation, plus I also have not seen the city before. After I night there, I proceeded to drive back to Stuttgart for another quick meeting and 1 night stay before heading back to Frankfurt. Arrived in FRA with 3 hours to spare. As usual the airport was crowded but no queue in the TG J and F lines. After boarding it was just straight to get my tax refund claims and then just killing the rest of my time in the overly crowded Senator lounge.
Inflight
Amazingly all classes including f are filled up 100%.
Flight left the gate on time and soon enough we were airborne. For some reason this aircraft used the older menu covers, but it was still nice though.
Breakfast
As usual, after having the meal I dozed off till 1.dhrs before landing which was when breakfast was served. Before I knew it we were already on final descent to BKK. What can I say, although F class was full, the cabin crew did a fantastic job of keeping everyone happy and satisfied.

Hi boss,
Nice to see another TG J and F trip reports.
Just to confirm with you, TG flights ex KUL (for the KUL-BKK vv flights) are not bookable through the website, isn't it? How do you make the arrangement of your flights? How do you compare TG's fares with MH's or LH's, which are also plying the route non-stop (KUL-BKK vv)?
I recently flown MH in F from KUL to LHR. As you are aware, the F cabin of MH and TG aboard the B744s are identical. Now that I have flown in F (finally), it has becomming a very interesting subject of interest. But here are my observations upon comparing your flights and mine:
- No pick-up service is provided to MH F passengers. TG does.
- There is no spa in MH F lounge. TG offers complimentary massage to F passengers.
- I think your shower room is better looking and better equipped than mine.
- Of course, overall, the TG F lounge is far superior than the MH F lounge.
- TG's pyjama looks better than MH's.
- The amenity kits however are kinda tie, both are not from a branded label.
- Does TG offer noise cancelling headsets in F? MH gives the same one as per in Economy Class for F passengers.
- TG serves Perrier in F. MH serves Spritzer in F.
- Menu comes with cover in TG's F. There's no menu cover in MH's F. Passengers just find it on their own from the seat pocket.
- TG offers 4 choices of main course for the dinner. MH offers 5. As for the breakfast, both airlines offers 4 choices.
- No caviar is served onboard MH. I don't think it is because of halal/non halal issue.
- No proper desert is served onboard MH F as well. The desert is the fresh fruits.
- Do you ever have to make your F bed on you own aboard TG flights?
You can read my report if you are interested, it's somewhere here, a few lines below yours. Thanks for this short but concise trip report.

I always book through a travel agent in KL, i can mesg you his contact if you want, he is located in SS2, been using him for more than 10 years. Great prices, and great service. Generally, I flew MH about a year ago to SYD in F, although inflight seat is similar to TG, TG wins hands down in ground service, louonge and basic treatment of its F passsengers like Royalty. So no more MH F for me. I will be going to LAX in Mar, and will try CX new F on their B773ER .....really excited about that.

As I will be flying TG F from ZRH to SYD, I have been following your TG F trip reports very closely, to get an idea of what I should expect. On that route, I have previously used BA First, as well as SQ First / Suites. I look forward to trying TG. My trip is in two weeks from now, so I was very excited to see this new post of yours. Very detailed and informative, with a lot of nice pics. I enjoyed it very much. Thx. I can't wait to try it for myself :

Glad my trip reports helped you out. On my previous journeys to ZRH, it has always been the A346, and i think the A346 is still flying this route. When will u be flying ?
Sure thing bro !! ..next time, give me a heads up before you actually depart SINGALAND !!! ehehehhe..... also, i have quite a bit of travels in March so please give me a way advanced warning before you fly over to CGK. I will be trying CX F in March on the B773ER to LAX though ...what do u think, put miles on my QF or do a new Marco Polo one? Which one actually is more generous?

Just out of curiosity why don't you bypass the KUL stop and fly directly to BKK?

Here's a heads up for you. Next trip to Jakarta... March 12-14. Indochine? Mulia? Ritz? Hehehehe...
Since you already have a QF one just consolidate your miles in there lah. But I have to agree the Marco Polo one is more.. ahem... Classy.
Welcome to my starry one world alliance, a team in the sky!

I have some business interest in KL and also tons of good friends, so its always nice to meet them up for a quick meal , also the CGKBKK connections on TG arent really flexible, only one flight a day leaving at lunchtime, and the return flight from BKK is at 0800 from BKK

Nice report thank you. And I see you visited some interesting German cities, gives me a few ideas for my trip to the south of Germany.
Was there no other lounge for you to use in FRA except for Senator? Guess not, except for the Business Lounge in Terminal B.

Unfortunately no, i am truly disappointed with Frankfurt, the Senator lounge is more or less a pigs sty which is always full to the brim, one can't even find a descent place to sit! .... althohg the food choice is getting slightly better with a small pasta bar.

Very nice report & pictures as always.
Good to see TG filling the planes, especially in F, tough in these times for sure.
Food as always looks good though I thought the desert looked a bit weak.

Sadly, so far all airlines I have flown in my lifetime never really lived up to my standards dessert wise!...Beleive or not, I am an easy guy to please in the dessert department. My ideal dessert is bread and butter pudding with great vanilla ice cream ahhahaha
