Reason For Trip
Another business trip for me to Europe, and this time I have to go to Munich, Leipzig and also London. I really wouldn’t mind London as it has been about 5 years since I last been there. I wont really write much on this TR as everything that I have written was in my blackberry which someone stole in London! So a word of note, never ever stay at the Sheraton Park Towers in Knightsbridge! I left the phone in the business centre and when I went back after 30mins, it was already gone, and conveniently no cctv cameras were positioned near or around the same floor as the business centre! How convenient! Anyway on with my trip in pictures! I will try my best to recall all regos, but please bear with me!

2nd wave of ash cloud was shutting down Irish and Scottish Airspace, luckily Heathrow remained opened so I can make my way home. TG uses the SAS lounge in Heathrow.
Double whalejets
And my queen of the skies taking me back to Bangkok for my next connecting flight
QF also had her own queen of the skies parked between us and her own whalejet
My usual safe haven, TG Royal First cabin
Tarmac scenes during taxi for take off
And off we go
New inflight material for the month of May
And for most a.netters, our favourite part of the journey is the inflight meal. My preordered lamb was really dry and blend, so I changed it to another main course which was much better.
And last but not least, Breakfast.
Sorry if this TR of mine isn’t really well written as I mentioned earlier, losing my blackberry in London really spoilt the trip. But here I am as I am writing this TR, freshly armed with a new blackberry on hand and getting ready to fly off to Los Angeles with CX Suites in 2 days time.

Welcome to London. I have left 3 iPod Touches, 2 Cameras, Uncountable numbers of phones on public transport and in cafés etc and never got them back. However, just 2 weeks ago I left my phone on a train (again) and I got it back :O

Still a great report, even though the real report was subject to theft. Thanks for sharing. I'm flying HKG-BKK in TG F in September, and then the same flight as you took in this report, BKK-ZRH, in October, also in TG F. I'm currently contemplating my Book-The-Cook options; have you ever tried the Lobster Thermidor and/or the Tournedos Rossini on TG?

Hey thaia345 another nice TR with you're favourite airline. I'm glad that you managed to leave London before the ash cloud reached us here!

As T8KE0FF said indeed 'Welcome to London'. Its unfortunate that this happened in a hotel located in Central London but no doubt you won't be the last person that this will happen to. I can understand you're annoyance though especially as it was inside the hotel's business centre. But despite this you did well to recollect all the information.

Wow, that's a very bad thing to happen overseas. I wouldn't know what to do if it had happened to me!
I have to confess, your trip reports was one of the main reasons why I chose to take TG's Royal Silk Class next week on 12th June for my flight from SIN-BKK-PVG. Your reports are always very detailed and shows the hospitality that THAI brings to their premium customers. After looking at this report, it makes me feel even more like travelling with them on Royal First Class, even though I might not be able to afford it. I guess some savings would do. Anyway, do you have any idea if cheese plates are served in Royal Silk Class for a 4-hour flight from BKK-PVG?
Just a question: Do you have any ideas what I can do for an 11 hour layover in BKK from 9pm to 8am? I'd love to rest at the lounge but it seems like it'll be closed, ain't it?

In all seriousness, it's London. If you leave something for 30 seconds it's likely to be stolen, never mind half an hour.
Either way, it is a pain. I enjoyed your report though, something I don't do very often but this was a good read.

Thanks for the nice TR and detailed photos. I flew Thai twice, on the FRA-BKK route and they are my 'favourite'
airline! I agree their IFE in Y on the B747 is dated - but legroom, catering and service in Y is very good IMO

Great report! Looks like you had nice flights with Thai and Lufthansa. I'm really impressed with the really good looking meals on the flights between MUC - Leipzig and return in J!

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late reply as I just got back after a week in Los Angeles. Will post that TR up soon. Took CX Suites again
Quoting T8KE0FF (Reply 1): However, just 2 weeks ago I left my phone on a train (again) and I got it back
Lucky you
Quoting T8KE0FF (Reply 1): Anyway, Good TR. Interesting routing!! And very thorough pictures. However I dislike the writing style.
Will definitely try to improve it, but dont forget, my mood was severely dampened when I wrote this TR due to the balckberry mishap!
Quoting AJO (Reply 2): I'm currently contemplating my Book-The-Cook options; have you ever tried the Lobster Thermidor and/or the Tournedos Rossini on TG?
The lobster is good, but my favourite now ex-BKK is the fillet of beef rossini, very good indeed.
Quoting AI151 (Reply 3): can understand you're annoyance though especially as it was inside the hotel's business centre. But despite this you did well to recollect all the information.
For the regos. i managed to zoom in on all the pics i took, so thats how i managed to get them
Quoting AI151 (Reply 3): 'm sure you wouldn't have it any other way!
Actually just flew for the 2nd time in 3 months on CX suites, really starting to love it now after being on it, you also tend to realise that TG's F is getting dated now.
Quoting Initious (Reply 4): I guess some savings would do. Anyway, do you have any idea if cheese plates are served in Royal Silk Class for a 4-hour flight from BKK-PVG?
Not on a 4 hour hop, you will just get a packet of crakers and a sealed slice of cheese ehehheh

I think the best bet is the Lois Tavern lounge, alternatively, i prefer just ot get out of the airport and check in to the Novotel Airport hotel. Its a really nice hotel.
Quoting 767747 (Reply 7): I'm really impressed with the really good looking meals on the flights between MUC - Leipzig and return in J!
I was actually also pleasantly surprised that such quality meals were served on that route. Usually they are really terrible.

I have to correct you this time. I actually got a full cheese plate! Heh. I was surprised too. Check out my TR if you want. Looking forward to your CX TR!
