In April I was invited to Disney World with my friends in Atlanta, they offered to pay for the entire trip so I just went along for the ride. I had never been to Disney World so I was pretty excited. I picked they flight and chose US Airways because it was much cheaper with only 2 weeks notice. This flight did require me to go through PHL however which added some time to my flight. When I checked in it asked if I wanted to upgrade my flight, and since I hadn't paid for the flight itself I figured why not! I got to San Diego pretty early and went to check my bag, I didn't find out until I was already at the front of the line they charge $2 to check a bag outside which seems kind of pointless but oh well. My bag was tagged with a priority sticker which was very nice. I made it through the first class security line in about three minutes which left me plenty of time to get some breakfast and walk around. As we boarded I noticed a woman in my seat, I explained that it was my seat and they asked if we could switch so she could sit next to her husband, she had seat 2A which I wanted anyways. The FA came through the cabin and took our drink orders, the guy in front of my actually ordered a bloody marry, it was only 5:45am but to each his own I guess. We took off on time and made our way to PHL. Once we were over Arizona they came through with our breakfast options, I had the omelet which came with fresh fruit and a bagel. The omelet was rather runny and wasn't exactly the best but we slowly made our way to PHL. The flight was pretty smooth, the FA came through multiple times to fill drinks and hand out snacks, until we made our descent into PHL.
I had never been to PHL before, it's not exactly the nicest airport to visit. I eventually made my way to what I realized later was the PHL international terminal. It was an extremely nice gate area with a large skylight and our 757 with winglets sitting at the gate for us. It wasn't until we boarded that I realized my luck, it was an international 757 with envoy seats! I took my seat with a crazy amount of leg room, funny thing is I was in 2F again and the same people came up to me and asked to change seats again, small world I guess. The flight wasn't too long but the seat was very comfortable when reclined, my footrest was messed up so it was a little awkward to sit upright. I reclined and actually slept a little through the flight. I woke up and we were about 45 minutes out of MCO. We touched down ahead of our scheduled time and made our way to our gate. I actually passed my friend's Delta 757 as we went to our gates which was pretty cool. I took the little tram to the main terminal and headed to baggage claim. My bag was one of the first off with the little orange tag which was definitely nice!
It's rare that I fly US Airways anywhere further than PHX but I must say their First class product is very nice and I really enjoyed my flight. I should be posting the return flight trip report soon!

Glad you enjoyed your trip. US frequently flies thier ETOPS version 757 aircraft on PHL/CLT-MCO.

Glad to see you enjoyed your trip with US. I think just about all of the 757's have been reconfigured into the 12J configuration on the east side, so if your flight number is 700 or above it is almost certain that you will have an Envoy configured 757 on a domestic flight which is pretty cool.
