Although this flight was taken about a year and a half ago I've only just got round to writing this report, to tell the truth working out how to put the photos on has taken that long! I'm not sure how much the service has changed since then but all the information was relevant at the time and I hope you enjoy reading the report all the same.

Flight TG415 BKK-KUL
Airbus A330 Reg. HS-TEG
A quick walk over from the Novotel Hotel into the terminal and all the way to the far end to the Business Class check-in. An agent was at the front of the concourse to make sure that I was checking-in at the right place and I was directed to an empty desk. There are little seats in front of the desk so you don't have to wear yourself out by standing! The procedure was quick and easy and the agent gave me an invitation to the lounge. A dedicated immigration desk at the end of the check-in desk saw me soon through to the enormous departure lounge. My flight was to depart from Gate F1A at the other end of the terminal so a walk down towards the gate to one of the Royal Orchid Lounge. The lounge was very busy full of suits going off on business. Not surprising really as it was around 8 am on a Monday morning. There was the usual selection of pastries, fruit and a small selection of hot food. There was a good selection of drinks available including a full bar.
I decided to go to the gate to find it was to be a bus to the aircraft. Boarding started at 0815 with an announcement for Business Class and Star Alliance Gold pax to board. A quick drive across the airfield to our waiting A330.
The friendly Thai crew directed me to my seat 12A and I made myself comfy.
Plenty of leg room for such a quick flight.
The cabin was arranged in a 2-2-2 config with 5 rows. the seats were the regional business class seats, cradle type and comfortable especially for such a short flight.
During boarding the friendly crew offered papers, hot towels, drinks, headsets and the menu and then came around to take the breakfast order.
On the menu today Fruit Juice, Fresh Fruits and Yoghurt. Main Course Stir-fried Soba with Vegetables Prawn Siew-mai, Steamed Taro Cake or Tomato and Onion Frittata, Chicken Sausage, Mushroom, Baked Tomato with Olive Oil and Oregano or Steamed Marinated Chicken Thigh with Garlic and Ginger, Chicken Flavoured Rice and Sauteed Veg and Breads, Croissants, Muffins etc.
Boarding completed and the cabin had 30 pax out of a possible 42. We pushed back at 0900 and take off by 0910. The flight time was 1hour 45mins so the crew didn't waste any time in starting the service. Drinks were served from a trolley with a choice of apple, orange, water and tomato juice followed by the breakfast trolley.
The fruit plate was cleared away and another trolley come by with the selection of hot meals on then. I had ordered the Chicken and it was pretty tasty.
More tea or coffee was offered and then the tray was cleared away and hot towels given.
The seat had an individual ife screen which was pulled out from the armrest but with such a short flight I was happy enough to enjoy my food and the view. All too soon we started our descent into Kuala Lumpur and landed on time. I said farewell to the crew and into the terminal to immigration and a wait of about 20 minutes for my suitcase.
In summary a great flight with an elegant, relaxed service by a crew who looked fantastic and smart in their wonderful uniforms. Corny but yes it was smooth as silk!

The seats were comfortable, I find them even more comfortable than the new J class seats!

Service did not change much, mine was almost exactly the same. The IFE is basically non-existent though.
