Here is the next journey to my final destination, Billund in Danemark. I was nearly there, I had to go and pick up my niece who spent 3 weeks with her grand-parents in the Danish countryside. They live in Merring, a small village near Horsens, Vejle, Aarhus and the closest airport is Billund.
After spending some time in the Crown Lounge 25 I went to my boarding gate, it was a short walk and when I got there the boarding lounge was empty. I was stopped at the scanner as the computer read that I was to submit a paper ticket to which I had a talk with the gate agent explaining that I had no paper ticket as it was booked with my miles on KLM.com and I was sent an e-ticket. I showed them the printout of the ticket I was sent and they typed stuff into the system and invited me to board.
During booking procedure the Europe Select cabin went all the way to row 8. I had selected seat 2F for this journey. When I did my OLCI the cabin was reduced to 3 rows only.
When I boarded the flight I was welcomed on board by the female purser and she guided me to my seat.
Today's flight was going to be a very light one in Europe Select with only 2 of us. A gentleman in seat 1F and my self.

AF Cabin Crew,
Your trip brought back memories of Billund, Denmark! I visited there about 10 years ago; we visited the huge Legoland at Billund and then took a SAS Dash 8-400 back to CPH from Aarhus.
Looks like a nice flight. How cool to have the cabin pretty much all to yourself!

Hi!
Wow, you get on the 73W immediately. I know you hoped for the -900 series though, I cannot find myself on the -700's so far. Always a bad luck for me.
Catering wise sufficient for this leg, although it seems a bit less then what I'm used from by KLM's Europe Select. The cabin looked great though, on this brandnew aircraft.

How did you know ?!? Never been on a 739 indeed and wished for one but all there was available was 737-700 and F70 !
Now you know you have to go to BLL to ride on a -700. Been on KLM 733 and 738. Missing the 739 and the 734. Longhaul I did the 744, M11 and 332.

Thanks for sharing this report. Great pictures, too...I like that you captured the little details in an interesting way (for example, the KLM logo in the leather).

Just like the last report, this one is just as nice. I love the photos from Holland, especially the ones with the "windmills" Very cool. I've always liked KLM and hope to fly them again in the future, maybe their MD-11 from YVR to AMS.
Thank you for a very nice report.

Wow! so nice!
Didn't know KL 73W had IFE... I've ridden the 738 countless times and the 734 once and they had none (this was in 2006)! This is particularly good for those long flights like AMS-TLV on the 739! Are all 737's to be equipped with IFE?

Hi AFCC,
A nice little read about a rather elusive aircraft - the KL 737-700! That catering looked rather good and perfectly fine for such a short flight - how was the taste?
I was in BLL last December - it was rather cold and very snowy (and dark of course, it being in the evening), how very different does it look in your pictures!
Quoting sw733 (Reply 9): I actually think (could be wrong) that is Sylt, which is (barely) in Germany, on an island just off the German/Danish border.
Yes, that airport is GWT, on the island of Sylt, belonging to Germany. Although you were only a couple of minutes away from entering the Danish airspace at that moment, I give you that .
