I recently finished a trip to Russia,Moldova and Iran. I will try to post trip reports on my flights but will be my first trip reports and im not so very good with technical dates so please have a lot of patience.
Saturday 11 September LIN-CPH SK 1690 06.30-08.35 actual block time 06.35-08.18
I was left at LIN,our Milan city airport at 4.40 by a friend that kindly brought me with his car, simply because bus to the airport begin at 05.30. I discovered than that check-in began at 05.10 so i had to wait 30 minutes. The agent gave me a nice seat 8A after request but can only issue boarding card until CPH, i dont know if its normal because my second flight even been SU was booked SK in codeshare. My bag anyway went direct to SVO. I procedeed directly to security where only one screening line was active given the time of the day and then to boarding area at gate 1, this meaning a remote area parking, given that LIN has only 5 jetways..
Boarding began at 06.05 and with a good load of 90% we took off trough rwy 36 as first flight of the day. Flight was normal, i just took a coffee and sleep for the rest time, but for me was a first on SK so another airline to my book log. Aircraft was a CRJ-900, OY-KFH.
We landed at CPH in very bad weather, fog and rain. I hoped for some spotting but watching at this weather i dont thought was possible. We disembarked trough jetway and i went to discovered CPH, given my first time transiting here. I found strange that there wasnt another security check like most airports now for transiting passengers. I found transit centre and was given my bording pass, obtaining an 11A. Than i went to do breakfast with a cappuccino, a croissant and some eggs for a 15Euro left, that i found a bit too much. But was good. In the mean time rain had stopped so spotting was on turn.
CPH-SVO on SU 216 12.25-16.45 actual block time 12.25-16.47
This was my first time on SU also. After passport control i procedeed to the gate where VP-BRY an Airbus A320 was waiting for us. Departure was on time an we were soon on our way to Russia having some turbulence during take off because of the weather. They serve a cold lunch that anyway was enough for me
At 16.25LT the landed began and we land at SVO right on time.
We disembarked trough jetways at the old SVO 2 and now began the horror part of the story: 1hour 30 minutes of queu at passport control. Incredible and i found not possible for Russia. Can anyone explain why they dont do something? I mean the only for Russian checker were empty and they dont call us at all. Incredible. At least when i finally was inside Russia my bag was on the belt and i quicly found the person waiting for me, i had boooked a transfer, that in teh incredible, given Moscow traffic, time of 45 minutes brought me to my hotel, Slavia Maxima, that i recommend. Was good, people polite and near a commercial centre. I had dinner in the small cafeteria and than my russian adventure begin. Hope i was clear enough and my description also. If anyone has questions please do it

I'm very curious to see your other reports from the more rare airlines in Iran and Russia The list you sent was impressive!
Quoting mxp (Thread starter): and i went to discovered CPH, given my first time transiting here. I found strange that there wasnt another security check like most airports now for transiting passengers.
That's odd, on one of my trips with SK, LED-CPH-AMS, we had an extra security check after arriving from LED and going into the transit zone. Perhaps it's due to the fact that you came from an EU airport.

It's this way or the other way (completely no queues) when arriving in Russia. It's horrible and very unprofessional of the airports.
Thanks for sharing this TR and looking forward to your TR to ARH, a place i've always wanted to go to but never managed yet.
