Reg:HS-TKH
1st Flight: 20 May 2007 (Leased from Jet Airways)

ETA: 0610+1
Seat: 1K (Royal First Class)
Flight Time:11hrs 00min
Preflight
After a punishing and tiring schedule, its finally time to head back home. (Although in 3 days I got to make another hop to Frankfurt) check in was quick enough at CDG, however, tax refund took ages! With what time we had left we just walked around a little before relaxing in the Star Alliance Lounge. I must admit that this is one of the better lounges I have been in as there is even an outdoor courtyard smoking area.
HS-TKH taking me to BKK
Inflight
Not a heavy load in all classes today. A very cheerful and delightful crew on board too.
Really starting to love the suites on this bird
Tarmac views at CDG
Take a number and line up !
And homeward bound we go

Meal time
I was just so tired after this trip that I even fell asleep halfway through my dessert! By the time I woke up it was already time from breakfast and soon after, descend into BKK.

Hi ThaiA345,
Once again another great report on TG's premium product. There's just one question boiling in my head. Why did you not take the non stop CGK-BKK but instead fly KUL-BKK instead?

Liked all of that, questions?
Is the suite quiet?
How does the IFE rate?
What about food flavours, that Lobster looked good.
you don't get a second chance to make a first impression!

Quoting initious (Reply 1): Why did you not take the non stop CGK-BKK but instead fly KUL-BKK instead?
Ahhhh...a question that i always reply to, its because i also have some business interest in KL, so always try to make a few hours stop where its possible to keep a tab on things, and also got some really close friends that i really like to meet up for a quick lunch or dinner

IFE is actually really good, menu is actually vaguely similar to TG's own A345/6 and B772/3 fleet.
Quoting SASDC8 (Reply 3): How do you rate TG's suite compared to CX??
Actually in terms of sleeping comfort, i will pick CX over this one. However, because of the closed cabin, TG's suite (or 9W in this case) has more privacy. But dont forget, on CX F its 1+1+1 and on TG its 1+2+1. SO cx have lots more space
Quoting SASDC8 (Reply 3): BTW the Star A lounge @ CDG looks really nice and now if they could just get one of those at FRA too
I really was surprised at the quality and space this lounge provided, especially the outdoor courtyard smoking area .... Thanks again for your comments Stein!

Nice return, thanks for posting.
Again food presentation looks good, still not keen on the plate design.

- Looks quite decent, though not been in many Star lounges.
Was HS-TEP any different than the older TH 330 fleet?
Hi Mark! TEP is actually a new batch of A333 for TG. Main differences are of course an updated cabin and toilets, all seats in j and y have avod. All seats are of course new. J seats are 2nd gen seats like those on the B772er, but does go full flat as these birds are mainly used for regional routes. Longest route though is the 7hr hop from bkk to per. Abut too long for my liking

Got any pictures of the Business seat on the 330?? There seem to be none on Airliners.net...
