After my first kind of different trip report Kind Of Different Trip Report: Walachia (by N14AZ Mar 8 2010 in Trip Reports) I wanted to share the pictures I recently made in Cairo.
I am regularly travelling to Egypt but this time the Spotter-God was kind to me and we taxied from the Southern runway all the way back to the terminal through CAI’s corrosion corner. So here we go:
Centrafrique Air Express Boeing 727-223Adv., TL-ADY
Pharaoh Airlines Boeing 737-222, SU-PMA
Alim Air Lines Ilyushin Il-62M, SU-ZDA – this is by the way a former Interflug and a former Luftwaffer IL 62. Note the registration is bigger than the airline titles on the fuselage…
This Jurassic B 737 is hiding behind a hill. This is most probably B 737-266, SU-AYK of AMC Airlines.
Phuket Airlines opf. Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 747-306M, HS-VAC, which has been damaged during a RTO last year.
Air Memphis DC-9-31, SU-PBO
Midwest Airlines A 310-304, SU-MWA
and from the other side
Brisair DC 8-62, VP-BHM
I hope I was able to give an impression of this corrosion corner in Cairo and you don't mind this kind of different trip report.

Quoting viasa (Reply 2): Thank you for the pictures. The DC-9 looks operational, right?
Yes, that's true. She actually doesn't belong to the corrosion corner, although she is even older (FF 12-12-1979) than the Midwest A 310 (FF 27-05-1992) next to her.
