# 1 Background: I've been away and busy for almost two years. No time to publish any TR. Sad as I really love sharing my experience, and It's always a pleasure reading yours. Whilst managing a busy household, I have continued to grab some pics throughout the flights. I've missed a lot, as my wife is so.... For her taking pics and flying MR it's useless... Weird that she is not complaining about turning left and having the first row on a long haul trip....
BA sales is on, I figured it was time to chill out from my work and from my wife. Currently living in Paris, I had to book a flight to LHR, I spent the night at the Sofitel LHR T5. Due to my plat card, I've been upgraded to suite.. then snoozed off a couple of hours..
# 2 Pre-Flight:
1) Before Airport:
BA is one of my favourite airlines to fly on, I love the British elegance. Since they refurbished the FC, it was time to come back and try the suite to DXB. Booking was done very quickly on ba.com for 3200 € all in. A bargain to me. According to my previous flights, BA is not on par with SQ, CX, QR regarding the catering on board. But still.
2) At Airport:
In CDG the check in was smooth. The AA lounge is a shame. CX lounge was closed.. flying time to LHR was a short 40 min. I really admire airlines that provide a decent meal for 40 min with real cutlery. The France carrier give you a so-called meal in a doggy bag !.
I woke up at 7 am, had a light breakfast in the hotel, and led to the FC check in. The agent told me, Mr miles addict we are pleased to tell you will have the latest 773 featuring the New FC.
I then went to the CCR lounge. Booked a facial treatment with was perfect before a 7 hours flight. It was time to eat and take on weigh again... I sat in a booth and ordered a classic British BF.
The lounge is well decorated and light coming through daily... ( is there any sun in UK ? Joke off ).
Boarding was not a mess for once despite a full load today in all class.
# 3 The flight:
When you fly First your expectations are very high. I've flown a countless time in F, and yet always get the same feeling.
When boarding a FA led me to my seat, the purser came to greet me and ask if I was familiar with the new seat. I was not, so she explained how does it work.
The seat it self is very good, I really love the new one, though not a ground breaking seat. The designer did work very hard, just have to look the CX F and made some minors changes...
The crew were stunning. They are pleased to provide you all you need. Closed to Dubai the delightful FA Ciara came and asked me why I was taking many pictures.... She said : Are you a spy sent by another carrier, funny moment we had a big laugh. She told me to look on youtube PAM ANN. A well known girl. I also gave her the link to airliners and FT.
Catering remains the biggest drawback, it was good but not outstanding. The lamb was really so so, I switched to the haddock, it was better, but you really expect something else in F. It was not a big deal for me. Hope BA will revamp the food.
# 4 Impressions:
Will I recommend flying BA, YES. The most enjoyable FA I've encountered to far. The seat is very good, the blinds is for me a gadget.. but it's so classy. For 3200 € it was a good value for money. BA please change the catering and I'll stick to you !
Next trip After tmr with IB in C
On 26 flying to SSH with BA J
And in april I've to go to BKK with TG F and in HKG with TK in F.
I really hope you have enjoyed my report and I'm looking forward for your feedback.

Great report! Nice to hear you had such a wonderful crew. I really love BA's new F-class; very classy, elegant and sophisticated (I prefer this highly above the offerings of EK with all that faux-gold and blingbling). I love it that BA puts so much attention in all the small details.
The pictures of your report are great as well, and nice to see the pictures from your other premium class experiences. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks for the report Thomas.

Yes, the pics did not look very impressive, and I might say below C standards. But, the fact that you were pleased with BA overall is a testament of how personable service can make up for a lot or alternatively break the customer's loyalty.
