Reason For Trip
Barely back on terra firma for 4 days since my 2nd long hauler in as many weeks, it was time for me to make yet another quick trip to Germany. This time my destination is Hanover. Its basically just a one day meeting. But due to connections and schedules, I will be away for about 4 days.

Preflight
First time in a long time that the inbound flight from KUL was not really full in both J and Y. Only had about 1.5 hrs in BKK so i decided just to get a free foot rub at the Royal Orchid Spa before taking a shower at the Royal First Lounge where i just waited to be picked up and brought to my FRA flight.

A pretty full flight to FRA today with 9 out 10 seats taken. Once we were onboard the crew sprung into action and did their best to keep everyone satisfied and happy. Like i have said many times before, its really a great feeling to be back onboard the queen of the skies again.
My tools of the trade, both for entertaining myself, work and a.net
Airshow
Late night dinner
some of my fellow passengers decided not to eat and just sleep instead
And back to the meal
My favorite pre-ordered meal, fried rice with pork. Highly recommend it !
Very nice dessert to finish off a very fulfilling meal
Right after they cleared off my table, I was already so tired and managed to get a good 8.5hrs sleep, before you knew it, it was breakfast time!
Getting there
Everyone preparing for arrival
AS for me, its just enjoying the light during our descend into Frankfurt
Hello FRA and LH A380
Good bye TGL
Pretty sad that even with TG the queen will probably be flying for a maximum of another 3 years before all A380 and B773ER comes online. A full flight but the crew did a terrific job keeping everyone full and happy.

Love the E-Jet, sadly haven’t got a chance to fly them yet. Anyone knows where these operate out to from FRA?
During taxi, spotted TGL basking in the morning sun, towed to a holding area, awaiting her 14:45 return to BKK

A quick hop to HAJ
and some nice light breakfast too

Preflight
Walking around the airport and I came upon this scene, I wonder how much TG paid for the flags to be flown here
Aftet a loooonngg transit in FRA, about 6 hours. I finally parked my sorry butt in the overly crowded Senator lounge about 1 hr before ETD. Whilst seating in the lounge I saw my bird being towed to the gate which is the same bird i took to LHR 2 weeks back, HS-TGP and she is painted in retro colours.
Ahh, my usual MH B772ER that usually takes me to PER, NRT and HKG
A really quick but exhausting trip to Hanover. Cant believe that I was just here for barely 24 hrs. But now i am glad to be heading back home.
There she is, waiting for me to board

Once we were escorted to the aircraft, the crew immediately recognized me from the same flight the day before. They laughed and I also told them that probably I flew as much as them LOL. Pretty nice load today with 5 out of 10 seats taken up, which means a much better crew to pax ratio.

Job done, now lets just chill

The flight itself was pretty quick with favorable tailwinds. Managed to get around 5 hrs of sleep though. The 3rd roundtrip F flight with TG this month for me and another equally good one too. Cant wait for my next flight with TG.

Hi Boss,
Quoting thaia345 (Thread starter): Pretty sad that even with TG the queen will probably be flying for a maximum of another 3 years before all A380 and B773ER comes online.
On the contrary, I can't wait to read your trip report on the BKK-FRA vv sector on the First Class (of course) comes September 2012 when TG inaugurates its A380 on the route. TG announced its A380 configuration and the 3 routes that will see the super jumbo aircraft on 6 April 2011.

Quoting milesaddict (Reply 1): I flew CDG-BKK thursday, I was expecting the 777 but turned out to be a regional 747.... I will report It soon.
Thats strange, the CDG-BKK route is almost exclusively operated by the B77W leased from 9W. Unless oen couold be down for tech or maintenance reasons. Let me know once you have put up your report.

Still enjoy your usual ride on THAI first class!
Love the mirror pic of HS-TGP at FRA airport. Also the purple THAI flags along the departure entrance.
Yellow and Purple, strong colors!
Lufthy lounge @ FRA....no comments!
So you always pre-order Kao Pad Moo (Pork fried rice) for your ride out of BKK?
I, for one, can't wait to see your trip report on THAI mini-suite A380 First class

Yeah, that was so strange. Was it TG933 the night flight from CDG? A regional 747 was a nightmare for you I guess
Don't be annoyed knowing the passengers around you are non-revs and op-upgraders, be grateful for them. Life is beautifu

Hey ThaiA345,
I never get tired of reading your reports about Thai's service in First Class. I myself has passed through the A346 F cabin several times and was so tempted to take a seat there but I don't think I'll be able to afford it so I'll just stay in my comfortable J cabin instead.. Definitely looking forward to their A380 product and hope they fly them to SIN!

Quoting wilco737 (Reply 4): Never been on TG, maybe I should try it.
And the 744 is still the Queen of the Skies!
I highly reccomend TG, you should have a go, and yes the B747 is still the Queen of the SKies because the A380 is the King of the skies, but the B747 will always have a special place in my heart. Can't wait to try the B747-8 one day too
Quoting nethkt (Reply 5): So you always pre-order Kao Pad Moo (Pork fried rice) for your ride out of BKK?
Its really nice, but not consistant on presentation, one day the pork can be served on a seperate bowl and some days together with the rice ahhahahaha
Quoting nethkt (Reply 5): I, for one, can't wait to see your trip report on THAI mini-suite A380 First class
You can count on me to be on the first inaugural A380 flight for TG to FRA
Quoting initious (Reply 6): Definitely looking forward to their A380 product and hope they fly them to SIN!
Well, they might for crew familiarisation. and Changi after is one of the best equipped airports in our region to handle the A380

Hope they use it to both BKK and HKG so I can fly SIN-BKK-HKG! Best is make it a permanent flight, even the 744 flight was 100% full so it might be able to support an A380... If they have the planes!
