Well, it's that time of year again when many people go on exotic holidays. So, a question for all - what trips have you got planned over the next 3 months? Preferably longhauls to far off places, as the trip reports are more interesting.
As for me, I am flying LHR-SIN-BKK on SQ (30th May) and BKK-Chiangmai (TG)
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

Well lets see...
My ticket is already booked for ORD-HKG on UA and then HKG-MNL on CX on April 9. Then MNL-CEB (Cebu City, Philippines) on PAL on April 13, and CEB back to MNL on April 16 also on PAL. On the way back home its MNL-HKG on CX again and then HKG-ORD on UA again on April 18.
In May, I am planning a shorter trip, ORD-LAS hopefully on United.
Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

For me, it's IAD-LHR-Zagreb-Dubrovnik on BA and OU (May 14-15), returning 19 May back to IAD (short trip, long air time). But I will be trying out the new morning BA service to Heathrow, with an overnight at the T4 Hilton.

On April 13th I leave Amsterdam to go to Belem in Brazil (at least 24 hours of flying and waiting in airport lounges)for a three week tour on the Amazon river (Belem-Santarem-Manaus and Jaru National Park). Unfortunately I still don't know the airline. I was scheduled to fly TAM via Frankfurt and Sao Paulo but TAM decided to stop the FRA-GRU flight. I hope to fly TAM via Paris but probably end up on Varig via Frankfurt.
The return flight will be from Manaus via Sao Paulo and one European airport to Amsterdam (fortuneately this time with a stopover in Sao Paulo). Furthermore I'll make a domestic flight between Santarem and Manaus (I guess on either Varig or TAM).
BTW anyone ever been to Belem airport???? if so, what's it like?

My next ones will probably be ATL-BCN (most likely with Delta and with connections) and then returning CDG-ATL (probably with Delta, so nonstop). That will be in early June. There is a very slim chance that my mom will be traveling to Ireland on business in the next two weeks and she may take me. That would definately be on Delta because she'll only take me if she can get a frequent flier ticket. So it'll be ATL-DUB-ATL (with a possible stop in SNN one or both ways). Late summer, I'm going to Lake Tahoe in California, so it'll be ATL-RNO/SMF-ATL (whatever airline is cheapest and probably with connections). That's what I know for now.

I will definently write a report about the Delta flights. I made up new sheets on the computer that will be easier to fill out,but more detailed.
I am also trying to get Elite Status on CO during the summer in June and July. I may take 3 or 4 mileage runs from EWR-SEA through IAH. Would you want to hear about those trips? They will probably be the same flights three weekends in a row so I assume they will be similar. Let me know if I should write reports on these. I don't mind but I assume they will be very repeticious and don't want to annoy anyone.

YEG-YVR Air Canada 255 737-200
YVR-YEG Air Canada 248 A319
YEG-YYC Air Canada Jazz 8482 Dash 8-100*
YYC-YOW Air Canada 1184 A319
YOW-YVR Air Canada 139 767-200
YVR-YEG Air Canada 246 737-200
*While it's officially Jazz, the craft will likely still be in the current Air BC colors. I will let you know otherwise.
Confused by all those newfangled Canuck airport codes?
YYC = Calgary
YEG = Edmonton
YVR = Vancouver
YOW = Ottawa
OK, so maybe it's not exactly to exotic places, but I will still post at least a trip report to let others (particularly Canadians) know the state of AC's service on transcon runs and how I enjoyed or hopefully not, hated it. Not to mention that I have never been on a 767 before, or been to Ottawa before!

I don't have any special flights planned so far for this year. What I know now is:
HHN-PSA-HHN with Ryanair (have to give them a try...)
FRA/DUS-ARN-FRA/DUS Lufthansa/SAS (trying to get a 736)
and a flight somewhere far away... I donno where though.

Hoping to do Perth-Shanghai-Beijing-Shanghai-Perth in June. If it works out, it will either be on Royal Brunei in Business Class (exc Shanghai-Beijing, which may be by train, or else a Chinese carrier), or else Perth - Hong Kong in J on Cathay or Qantas, and Hong Kong-Shanghai; Beijing-Hong Kong in Y on Dragonair.
Flew Royal Brunei in J Class Perth-Bandar-Hong Kong a few years ago, and they were very good. Their fares are considerably less than the majors, but food and service is great. No PTV's, but the legs are only 5 hours and 3.5 hours, and they screen cabin movies.
Next year looking to do Perth-Hong Kong in J on Royal Brunei, and Johannesburg-Mauritius-Perth in J on Air Mauritius (travelling between HK and Sth Africa on the QE2). Can't wait!

While you guys are coming into Bangkok.. I'm about to move out - how very s-a-d.
Anyway, will probably be spending few weeks of my summer holly down under before heading off. Around the 15th of June - but why haven't we finalised our plans yet? We're doing this the Thai way (i.e. no advance planing ) Anyway- I'll need to make sure I'm out of town when TG992's here for a visit
