Hi everyone! I really enjoy reading everyone's trip reports and I have never written one. But here is my first! It's a trip I did in middle of March. Be gentle..
It all started as all of my trips, browsing skyscanner.se, to check where I can go and which airlines I can fly. One of the goals I have is to at least fly every airline departing from my airport, which is Arlanda (ARN,Stockholm)
I found a cheap ticket with CSA to Barcelona for approx 58€ and back home to Arlanda with Air Berlin for approx 40€. A bargain!
But with a 5h layover in Barcelona there are two choices. 1. Go in to town or 2. find a short domestic flight. I choose 2. I started to look for trips to Mallorca and fond a return trip with UX for around 50€. New airline for me so why not! So now I had an itinerary that looked like this: ARN - PRG - BCN with OK, BCN - PMI - BCN with UX and BCN - TXL - ARN with AB. I crossed my fingers and hoped that nothing would go wrong... Well about three weeks before the trip I got a message from UX that told me that my flight from BCN to PMI was canceled and I was booked on a later flight. A later flight would mess up the rest of my trip so i didn't accept the rebooking and started to look for other choices to get to PMI in time to catch the UX flight back to BCN. I found a Vueling flight that departed 13:20 for 28.50€. My flight from PRG would arrive 13:00.. Well it's the same terminal, we could be early, the flight could depart from the gate next to us... And there was a big chance that I would miss the Vueling flight.. It's a risk I decided that I would take. Let's see how it went!

No more pic's from this flight. On Vueling everything seemed more or less chaotic. In front of me there was two FA's from Spanair that was talking about someting involving one of the girls cellphone. Which I think was on for the rest of the flight. They where hiding the phone everytime a YV FA passed them. After a short and bumpy ride we landed at PMI. Now I could relax in the diners lounge until UX are taking me back to Barcelona.

Hi Tobbry,
very nice first TR with many good pictures.
Your connection in BCN was really tight but luckily you made it
The service on OK looked quite allright on both sectors.
Thank you a lot for sharing

Hi Tobbry,
Welcome and congratulations on your first report! I was sort of hoping it would've been the one where your paths crossed with Johannes (since I read that just before...), but I guess it'll take some more time .
Anyway a nice daytrip, certainly a long and tiring day, but an interesting routing and nice variety of airlines.
Quoting tobbry (Thread starter): I found a cheap ticket with CSA to Barcelona for approx 58€ !
Wow, I've never seen such cheap CSA tickets! I've noticed some one way fares, but never anything below 120 EUR or so... I did fly them back in 2005 but wouldn't mind trying them again.

Ahh, Air Europa is one of the airlines I absolutely hate for their schedule (and equipment, I still haven't logged their E190!) changes...

Wow! That's a tight one - I've had my fair share of those, but that's something I wouldn't have dared to try. It can still be quite a hike between gates at BCN T1, but glad you made it! At least you had a sensible second plan - just stay in Barcelona until your return flight.

Try to get one from ARN. This spring there have been alot of cheap CSA tickets. Starting at 559 SEK, approx 58€

Yes a tight one! But what if I didn't book it and it departed from the gate deside..

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 7): Well done and such a tight connection, for sure a risky one.
Thanks everyone. Yes it was an crazy connection(nothing to recomend ). But I wouldn't have done that booking and risk the trip. The worst thing that could happened at this stage was that I had to wait at the airport for my connection to Sweden
