Hi all,
This report is our inbound to France.
HK is a wonderful city / country. I came there countless times.
We spent one night at the royal garden, then my wife discovered the perfection : Four Seasons. This luxury hotel impressed me wherever I go to. The best.
For our return, we both have spent the remaining balance with BMI. The unclear future for them made me turn to another FFP. I will miss it very much.
Check in : We used the in town check in.
Lounge : The private Lounge Traveller close to gate 20, nice lounge ( good catering, dinner possible, massage ). AF and LX send their First Class pax there, they have a space booked.
Crew: Nothing to complain about, they were lovely, even at 4am, they are pleased to serve you whatever yours needs.
Siège : Despite the seat gets old, it's still a pleasure to sleep on it. I still don't know when LX will roll out the new first in the 340. We have experienced very bad turbulence, my wife was scared.
Catering: Outstanding as always. The only small complain I have about LX, they don't serve caviar. Got my balik salmon, perfect meet, and nice dessert.
Things to improve : They have to change the seat ASAP, offer caviar and a well known champagne.
Verdict : I don't want to create a controversy, there were captain's wife seated 1A and the co pilot's wife seated 1K. I don't mind, but they should avoid going to the cockpit.
Looking forward to try again LX with the new F to HKG..
SQ, CX, TG are for me the best out there. LX is good very good but they look like a 4* instead of 5.
Indeed we were supposed not to buy many things there, but as you can figure out, my wife ripped me off !!! hence I biught a new luggage. Hard to fit all the things !!!

Quoting milesaddict (Reply 7): Laurent Perrier is a good vintage but worldwide Krug and Dom are on top of the list.
...... and how about Crystal?
Krug and Dom might be the most popular to those who know little about wine.
Both champagnes are neither the most tasty ones inflight nor ever win the best champagne category at yearly BTs' "Cellars in the sky" awards.

Guys these are all names: Laurent Perrier Rosé has had the best scores, followed by Charles Heidsieck. If we only count cru's I find Dom disappointing. La vieille dame from Veuve I find the best! Armand the Brignac, Krug, Crystall and Bollinger La Grande Année are all too complex.
Anyway, nice trip report. Next time, I would like to read your comments!
